I'm so sad to have to give this game a 7, but performance/optimization is just so bad in this game, for a game that doesn't even look like the best of them, this performance is just not acceptable.

Game:8-9/10. Ubisoft Connect forced on you: 0. That's basically why give the game a 5, the game is, in my opinion, the best Ubisoft game I've ever played, sadly, I hated that I wasn't able to close Ubisoft Connec, or turn off some of the pop ups that came with it, even when editing the config file manually. I didn't love that the DLC is completly off the story of the main game and other DLCs, I would've liked that they somehow made it so Fenyx is involved, even if it was just something like "what happened in the main game caused trouble in other regions too", and then showed this new DLC, but all in all, the DLC is fun.

I don't even know where to begin with this one, why? Just why? The base game, and the 2 DLCs after, were third person, why make the third DLC a top-down brawler? Just who thought that was a good idea? After playing through the whole game, this DLC feels bad, some of the mechanichs are just worse, like the bow, it's completly butchered compared with the entire game, and some of the puzzled just show that they were not made for this type of camera, mainly the ones that need a bow (anyone surprised?), I think this should've been a spin-off or just let us change the camera angle. It's sad, because to me, the rest of the game is easily an 8 or a 9, and the idea of the camera in this DLC is cool, since it's like you're watching from Fenyx's point of view, watching down on Ash, but it just doesn't work, since you're changin the gameplay and style of the game entirelly, appealing to different audiences, which will alienate both existing players that might not like the new camera, and people that could like this camera, might not like the normal one, that has the rest of the game.

The game looks amazing, but sadly, it's, for the most part, just a mask, once you get past the stunning views, the game is just... mid, the same thing we've learnt to expect from Ubisoft in the past decade+. It's just that, in this case, it's even worse, since we have Yasuke, I won't speak of his race, or if he is historically accurate, I'm speaking of him as a character, he doesn't fit into the Assassin's Creed formula, your main character is supposed to be a sneaky guy killing people without being noticed, that has been Assassin's Creed since forever, we had some outlier, that could fight better in the open, but never at this level, I just don't like it for an AC game. As for historical accuracy, sadly, Ubisoft's higherups, or whoever went and said in interviews/posted online that this game would be more historically accurate, really **** up, because they made a mess, without commenting on Yasuke, again, because I don't want people to just say "you're just racist", they added a bunch or architecture and other things that are just not japanese, and on top of that, butchered some characters, and other things, that made people who care about this culture, very mad, and the problem here is not that they aren't accurate, the problem is that they claimed it would be, and that they used experts, just to do everything wrong after. All in all, a game worth maybe 15$/€, that you shouldn't ever play, because you have better games and cheaper all over the place, like Ghost of Tsushima (it's even in the same theme), or other open worlds like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and much more.
