One of the very few games I'd consider to be truly 10/10. From the stunning soundtrack and visuals, to the huge gameplay step up from persona 4, and the incredible story, this might be the best video game I have ever played. I can guarantee beyond all doubt that if you love RPGs, you're gonna love this one. Persona 5 Royal was a blast end to end with its new dungeon format finally ditching the procedurally generated layouts of past persona titles and its shockingly relatable themes. Do NOT skip this one.

While definitely being a bit of a departure from the typical Final Fantasy formula, Echoes of Time still offers a solid story, combat and magic system, and atmosphere to immerse yourself in. Even it's a little on the shorter side, there's plenty here to love. Like the four playable classes, impressive repertoire of weapons and armour, and a surprisingly touching ending. Just do yourself a favour and play the DS version.

Final Fantasy V still remains one of the most charming and enjoyable Final Fantasy and RPG experiences I've ever played. The incredibly flexible job system and on the fly switching make for an incredibly diverse and engaging class system. However, if you do plan on tackling this one, I strongly recommend you play the GBA version. I'd have recommended the amazing mobile version as well, however Square Enix has predictably removed that version and replaced it with their far inferior (in gameplay only, the pixel remaster looks fantastic) pixel remaster version.

Despite a tough to get into battle system with a surprising amount of depth for 2005; Persona 3's themes, art style, soundtrack, story, and characters make for an absolutely incredible experience that even almost two decades later, I can proudly say is my absolute favourite in the gaming space, hands down.
