A near perfect experience with some of the most memorable animation, boss fights and music that games can offer. You may have no desire to revisit it after and some bosses may be completely forgotten in the face of the greater ones but this is a truly unique and fantastic adrenaline rush with music that grabs you and forces you to keep playing. Truly addicting.

Seriously challenging with some really memorable levels that you’ll keep coming back to. Great to play with friends, pumping music and vibrant art direction all over. For someone who doesn’t get nostalgia from these games, the challenge is enough to keep you engaged thoroughly. There are some glaring missed opportunities to fix some awful water and jet pack levels, plus the difficulty degradation of the final game may feel inconsistent.

Has a solid narrative with some engaging spins on the mythos. Really gives you a great choice system making interactions with icons always interesting but unfortunately it’s gameplay feels like an afterthought to the story making its quick time events and puzzles more of a stop in the well written story.

Does a really solid job of stressing you out over the heavy decision making Batman must go through constantly and has a good narrative to back it up. It’s interpersonal relationships are always tense and changing keeping you engaged and the narrative racks up to a seriously tense and shocking finale. The gameplay may be subpar with moments of real ingenious problem solving but as a visual interactive graphic novel? It really doesn’t get better than this. A haunting spin on the Batman and Joker relationship.

The world and atmosphere is really up to par with the original, even the story gets quite grim and intense by the end however it lacks any sort of character or even genuine horror. Feels more like a walking simulator with occasional cutscenes stringing along an interesting narrative, the gameplay itself is utterly boring.

Really creepy atmosphere with quite a compelling narrative but unfortunately feels extremely dated at times in its gameplay which also is unbearably repetitive at times.
