With Greg out of a job, Kim and Greg are worried. Then Greg realizes how much fun it can be without a job and decides to take advantage of Jimmy and Christine for once. Jimmy kicks him out of the house. Greg gets a job.

Dominic is 10 and going on his first date. Jimmy & Christine have different opinions on how to prepare him. Meanwhile, Kim has a box of personal items she wants Greg to burn when she dies; now he is curious and wants to read the letters.

Jimmy enters his lawnmower in a lawnmower-racing contest and Greg decides to help him with the preparations. NASCAR race-car driver Greg Biffle guest-stars as another lawnmower racer.

A friend brings some barbecue and everyone agrees it is delicious. Greg wants to buy more, but the restaurant is in the hood. Greg overcomes his fear and goes to buy some. When Greg runs late, Jimmy is afraid. Greg plays a trick on him.

New homeowners Jimmy and Christine have become the popular family in the neighborhood. Greg doesn't care, but Kim is upset and throws a party to show that they are just as popular.

After seeing a friend's new baby, both Christine and Kim want another child. Both Jimmy and Greg do not want another child and try to avoid sex. Christine and Kim think of devious ways to have sex.

Jimmy starts helping the neighborhood children learn how to do things that their fathers do not teach them.

Greg & Kim meet a new couple. The husband constantly belittles his wife. Kim starts treating Greg better. When Jimmy feels like Christine is nagging him, Greg tells Jimmy to invite the new couple over so she realizes how great Jimmy is.

Jimmy treats everyone to a vacation. Greg comes up with reasons why not but is eventually overruled. Kim and Greg find out that Jimmy has found every shortcut way to save money on food, transportation, and entertainment.

When Mr Savitsky finds out Christine works at the old studio, he wants Greg to ask her to tell secrets about the old studio to him at his new studio. Since she wont, Jimmy gets the information from Christine and passes it on.

As Christine learns new things at college, Kim realizes how much she has forgotten. Meanwhile, Logan seems to quit everything he starts. Christine tries to teach him to continue things but Jimmy sets a bad example.

Greg and Jimmy hire a limo for dinner and a Rascal Flatts concert for the wedding anniversaries. It goes bad when the dinner reservations run late and they miss the concert. It gets better when Rascal Flatts mistakenly get in their limo.

Greg realizes Kim listens to Christine's opinion more than his own; Christine realizes the same about Jimmy and Greg. So Christine and Greg make a pact to help each other get things they want. It works until it doesn't.
