The scenery is spectacular. I am familiar with the area so the series held a certain interest for me. It made me sad to see the beautiful cottage country spoiled by Mcmansions. But the story was boring and draggy and I gave up after a few episodes. The use of actors clearly in their 20s with sophisticated, pretentious dialogue makes for an unbelievable teen drama.

I couldn't get past the first episode. Poorly written. Poorly acted. Big party and writers and producers had to get their "diversity" in, so half the attendees were black and the other half were homosexuals. My goodness. I was just in the backwaters of Ontario and it was hard to find anyone who wasn't northern skin tone and blue eyes. This entertainment crap is for the birds, and so is this show. Our view is: "skip this if you want to watch teenagers act like teenagers."

A vapid script, made worse by hackneyed direction and ungrounded and, more often than not, melodramatic acting. Do not waste 10 seconds on this meaningless indulgence!

Really good show… I think the young actors are uniformly interesting and not subject to the same cliches We normally get with this type of series. The casting of the adults is really well done, and the lead woman is super talented and really captures the character well.

Predictable, lack lustre teen overdramatic story telling. The plot needed more depth.

Love this series. The characters are relatable and the dialogue throughout felt real. Hoping for a season 2.

Sterling Point part d’une idée intéressante autour de la vente de l’île et de ses enjeux économiques, mais cet aspect reste malheureusement trop peu exploité et manque de tension. Le développement des personnages est plutôt réussi, mais les intrigues sont souvent très prévisibles et manquent de profondeur. Seule l’intrigue principale se démarque réellement avec un retournement de situation intéressant et surprenant. Certains personnages évoluent également trop rapidement, tandis que les nombreux conflits reposent souvent sur des excuses répétées, parfois jusqu’à devenir lassantes. Aussi normaliser le fait de flirter avec 2 hommes en même temps n’est pas normal. Au final, une série avec un bon potentiel, mais trop peu exploitée et qui manque d’enjeux pour réellement marquer.

I don't know if this is supposed to be a drama or a comedy. I don't think the writers know. The acting is horrendous. Maybe on purpose but it makes the whole thing very bland. There are clearly some talented actors in this. But it is such a mix or talent and incompetence that I don't know where they are going with this. I like they mystery aspect but this is so overshadowed by boring romance and teen crap it is insufferable.

In a world full of book adaptations, remakes, and sequels. Sterling point is an amazingly compelling YA story told in a way that forces you to binge it. The acting and storytelling is amazing, I’m a big fan of the genre and hope other series will take some inspiration from what they did here.
