Definitely the movie of the season. Feels fresh, original, not derivative. However, the ending was a touch predictable. But satisfying nonetheless!

A beautiful tribute to Ryan Dunn. Those eyes! And I have to say that the Twister sequence was THE ****... literally. Super fun film.

I really had no idea what to expect when I bought a ticket for this film, but what it turned out to be was a concert film, much like The Song Remains the Same (the 1976 film chronicling the summer leg of the 1973 Led Zeppelin tour). Going from performance to performance, climbing in and out of cars, planes, etc. – all tightly choreographed. Much of the film is focused on Melania’s style, her preparations for the inauguration and all of the events leading up to it. You get a sense for her personality when she does the car Karaoke to Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, and when she does her own version of the YMCA dance when leaving one of the inaugural balls. The visuals are amazing, and the music is great. Maybe 10% of the film involved Donald, and if you’re a professional critic with an aversion to the guy, it’s probably just enough to get the gag reflex going. But if you’re a supporter (like most of the people in my theater – in a VERY blue state), you likely enjoyed it (and yes, there was applause at the end). And as a historical document, you see people who are never mentioned by name, but who would become extremely important in the following weeks and months – people such as Steve Witkoff – who was always seated right next to the first family, clearly a person trusted by the group. The film is very respectful to the Biden family (never a crass or negative word to any political opponents), and it has a very reverent tone at the Jimmy Carter funeral. I enjoyed the scene in which Melania visits St. Patrick’s Cathedral to pray for her late mother who passed away the year earlier. The blessing she receives from the priest is touching. The musical choices are pitch perfect. The ONLY moments that dragged on a bit were the 2 or 3 fittings for her primary inauguration outfits, but hey, she’s a former fashion model, and that’s her wheelhouse. In another pretty cool sequence (historically), she seemingly crashes a speechwriting session with her husband and suggests a better word (“unifier”) than the one he was practicing, and the president-to-be-knows she nailed it. The film then captures that moment in the actual inaugural address, and DT looks back at his wife to acknowledge her very specific contribution. It was a neat moment for the filmmakers to capture, and they paid it off. So bottom line: if you’re at all interested in the grandeur of political ceremony, or if you happen to like the first family, you’re going to like this film. Is it going to be some profound, behind-the-scenes vehicle that might break some juicy news? Nope. But I was glad I saw it.

I GREATLY enjoyed this film. Loved the look and feel of it, and Maika Monroe needs to be acknowledged as one of the outstanding actresses of her generation. Loved her in IT FOLLOW, but she is incredible in this understated performance. And Nicholas Cage? Unreal job. Can't imagine anyone else pulling that off.

Pretty well-made documentary… Such a shame that a very modest little company could’ve been blown up by the corporate idiots who forced the founders out. I’m a little surprised that they didn’t make reference to the legacy of movie pass, which is the AMC A-list.

First and foremost, I was bored STIFF by this story. Sure, there are fun and sexy images throughout, but what the hell is up with the pacing? Do I have to stare at a dude about to hit a service for 30 more seconds? Serve the dang ball, idiot! I'm just a little shocked that critics loved this film. The characters are not developed, they feel like robots, and the CGI tennis is WAY over the top. Even in the warm-up sequences, the ball looks SO fake. I've never seen Serena Williams hit the ball that hard, and some college freshman from Stanford is topping her? Don't think so.

Not nearly as bad as the reviews would suggest, but my overall impression is just that it’s not very ambitious. It almost feels like a featurette that you would see on the CW. The trio of supporting actresses are fun, and Dakota Johnson is pretty fantastic in the role. The main weakness in the film is the bad guy… His motivations are not properly flushed out.

You just know when you are watching a Jonathan Glazer movie there is going to be a one of a kind experience, beautifully shot, and intensely thought provoking. All of which are true with this movie, And the way that it communicates the devastation of the holocaust through sound is entirely unique. It’s absolutely a movie that should be seen, but it’s not made for everyone.

Easily, one of the best movies of the year… I just loved it. I can’t imagine this, not being one of the best picture nominees… And frankly, I would also be shocked if it didn’t win.

I just loved this movie… Saw it twice already. The leads are obviously great but many of the side characters just had me rolling in my seat. I would recommend this to any romcom fan.

Well, many of the performances were interesting, and the driving sequences were really well done… The story is anything but compelling. There’s almost no reason for this movie to exist. Just the basic plot level is unexciting the five elements of drama just are not there.

I like the style and the humor, but it was a little too gory for my liking.

Really interesting movie… I feel bad that college girls have to go through so much crap just to find a society of women who will except them. And the number of people assaulting these women in the process is really obscene. The documentarian showed an amazing amount of courage in her own personal journey.

Much better than I thought it would be. I'm a big fan of the lead actress (from Normal People), and it was worth hitting the theaters for this experience.

Super fun rom-com. Perfect time for this to steam. Easy recommendation...............

What a buzzkill. You could hear a pindrop (and a few snores) in my theater. Why bother putting police officers at the exits of this movie when people are yawning on the way out? And why use Pink and Blue Boy in his apartment? odd choices. JP doesn't hold a candle to Ledger or Romero.... maybe a little better than Nicholson, but that movie **** the big one. If the Academy awards this because of the hype after having face-palmed The Dark Knight, you'll know that that event isn't worthy watching again.

The lead actress is perfect.... this movie reminds me so much of Lean on Me, and even Super 8. Not terribly frightening - not nearly as scary as the text. Solidly entertaining.

Loved the film. I'm sure you've read a million reviews, and I don't want to spoil the story, so I'll just say that Julia Butters, the 8-year-old actor almost steals the show. What a breath of fresh air in a film that's dropping with testosterone and machismo. I'm hoping for big things in the future for that ACTOR.

Brilliance! Along with Hard-Boiled, these are your Hong Kong action movie fix if you haven't seen them. Woo is beyond words.

Much more exciting than I figured it would be. The lead actress is magnetic (where have I seen here before??). The main problem with it is that all the action takes place in essentially the same spot, and the "supporting characters", such as they are, are too summarily dismissed. But I probably grabbed my face 10 times in this **** - which is a great sign for a summer popcorn thriller.

If you're into films that make you think - stuff like Upstream Color, Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me, The Cook, The Thief, etc. - you'll be into this. It's a pretty amazing clash of cultures, and Frances Pugh is amazing in the lead role. Ari Aster is one messed up individual, but I do enjoy seeing his movies! But holy moly is this **** bloody.

This movie is a total hoot! the lead actress is fantastic, and the three co-stars (her KGB handler, the CIA dude, and Hellen Mirren) are all fantastic. Everyone in my theater had a great time with this movie.

One of the "lesser" musical biographies I've seen. If you're going to strive for a true musical, like this one does, you have move the audience, and Rocketman simply doesn't. Sure, you get Elton John's life story (with a tragically truncated last 15 mins or so), but there's nothing really compelling about it. Nothing that a regular fan can sympathize with. I wish they'd have rather just done a straight drama with Talon playing Elton. The "musical" element was lost on my completely.

Fun movie, dominated by the Secretary of Agriculture himself, Oshea Jackson Junior. When will he be the leading man in a film? The kid deserves it.

Absolutely hysterical movie. I was rolling after the first 5 mins or so (after that serious, kinda boring intro...) Perry HAS to keep making Madea movies....

I came in with super low expectations and actually found it pretty fun. But not funny in the way that many critics suggest. I've seen this sort of movie done better many times before.

Loved it! Salazar is amazing, and the story is truly compelling. The only thing I didn't like about it is the abrupt ending. If you plan to do a sequel, the film itself has to stand on its own. (See: Star Wars)

Jason is really the only actor who could play this part (Sorry Grenier!) But, sadly, his counterpart Patrick Wilson is just weak. Made me think of his much better roles (i.e., Little Children) Felt nothing for him here, and he wasn't at all villainous. Worth seeing, sure, if you're up for a popcorn flick.

No clue what the critics saw, but this is a fun action movie! I've always loved Jennifer Garner's ass-kicking ways (she's been wasted in sentimental dramas for the last decade or so). It's MUCH better than something like the new Willis Death Wish. Check it out....

Outstanding and refreshing! Definitely one of the hidden gems of the summer. It's great to see **** in such an original role. Must-see, for sure.

I've always loved this movie, but there's no WAY this movie gets made today given the current climate of relations between men and women. Grand and Stewart are masterful, and Hepburn is killer- this was her big comeback, and she does it with class.

Easily one of my all-time favorites. I mean, Orson Welles isn't in a ton of this movie, yet his moments pierce into you like nothing else!

Simply an overrate film that seems to have gotten a TON of love from the critics simply because of how long it took to make it. Stunt cinema. For the most part, I was non-plused.

Incredible movie. I went in as a fan of King of the Road and skate culture in general, thinking it would be a light-hearted doc touching on the lives of some skaters. But WOW. What a powerhouse of a film that deftly handles some super serious topics. Major props to Bing Liu - his conversation with his mother is beautiful and heartbreaking. If there's any justice, this will be a Best Picture nom come early next year. A Must-See indeed.

I'm utterly in love with this film. Such beauty, such grace. I was pinned to my seat throughout. I feel like I must travel to the Badlands of North Dakota to see where this **** was filmed. Kudos to the director!

If you were alive in the 1980s, this is a tremendously entertaining film. But what an immense tragedy it is. The last 30 mins felt like that last third of Boogie Nights. Tough to watch, but so glad i did.

I was a little bored by this one, sadly. It's admirable that she's doing what she's doing at 85, but a great film her story does not make.

The best movie of its kind since House Party. The leads are really amazing. I'd love to see them do a sequel of sorts.

I haven't been this floored by the last 2 minutes of a movie since Enemy. Ethan Hawke is the greatest. I'd pay to watch the guy read the paper.

I love this film. Ben Foster and the actress playing his daughter put on such tremendous, restrained performance. The story is heartbreaking. Interesting to see that Oregon divides families in this non-immigration context.

I personally feel like it's a much better movie than the first one. The writing is vastly superior, and there's a layering to the plot that wasn't present in the original.

GREAT horror flick. The adrenaline was flowing throughout most of this ****. What else can you ask for? It's an event picture - and yes, a MUST-SEE!

Feels like a nice bookend to "The Meg" for the BIG summer films that don't add up to much, but are good ways to eat tubs of buttery popcorn, sit in an air conditioned theater, and see stuff get blown up. DJ is solid as usual, but it's nothing special. Not his best work.

The definition of mediocre. Sure, there are fun moments, but it just doesn't add up to anything coherent. And the bad guy/girl? (no spoilers) You never generate that hate for him/her that's necessary for you to get super pumped for Denzel to waste him/her.

It's far and away the best Mission: Impossible movie in the series - I'm glad to see that reflected in the Metascore. How much longer can Cruise do these stunts? Hopefully for at least 2 or 3 more installments.

Substandard. Kunis is always great in this sort of film, but she sort of mails it in here. And Kate McKinnon is just not good enough. She needed to be much stronger in that role to make it work. Why Justin Theroux would do this film is beyond me.

Solid fun - nothing more, nothing less. I really does pale in comparison to the grand-daddy of this genre. Even the score mimics the Jaws score. Does it's job.

Solid film,but I wanted it to be fantastic - it's not. And it gets a little didactic toward the end. Washington is fabulous, however.

What a lovely film. I especially loved the Astrid character. What class and grace. In general, while the movie is mostly light and often funny, it has 2 or 3 powerhouse dramatic moments. The Mahjohng sequence? Floored me. It's just a wonderful collection of scenes woven together with skill. This is what happens when you have good writing. It BURIES most every other Rom Com to come out in the last 4 or 5 years.
