MGM+ has taken viewers all the way back to the 12th century and provided them with a near-perfect adaptation of one of the greatest legends to ever “live.”

One part entertaining historical adventure, one part genuinely swoon-worthy love story, and one part political drama, MGM+’s Robin Hood is an unexpected delight, a show that’s so much better than it probably has any right to be, and a welcome reminder that there’s still plenty of life in some of our oldest tales, when someone takes the time to tell them well.

Super fun show. Great music and likable characters. It's not historically accurate, but Robin Hood is not history!

Supergood! Exiting -new- Story, great acting, high production Value. Lets just all not forget that Robin Hood is a work of fiction and in no way historical fact.

The sobriety of “Robin Hood” does not render it less than entertaining, just slow to engage its wooden wheels in the muddy ruts of a well-known medieval tale. .... Ms. McQueen is splendid, Mr. Bean elevates the entire production. .... But Erica Ford, as a cross-dressing game poacher and archer-in-disguise named Ralph, provides the kind of character and performance that delivers new blood and enlivens an old story.

Across 10 hours of action, shifting allegiances and reimagined legend, Robin Hood delivers the familiar beats with fresh grit and emotional resonance. Will it be the definitive version? Perhaps not. But it carries a surprising weight, heart and ambition.

Look, by any objective measure Robin Hood is terrible. Subjectively? I couldn’t be having more fun and I suspect it will be the same for anyone who goes into it with the right attitude.

By attempting to expand the series beyond its quaint beginnings to transform it into the next great medieval-set show, “Robin Hood,” quickly stretches itself so thin that by the end of this first season’s 10 episodes, it becomes hard to justify its existence.

It's nice enough, but man ... there is a lot of crying in medieval England. Sorry, I mean Saxon. But it is entertaining nonetheless. And Sean Bean is always good.

Average some backstory was good idea but not accurate like the religion some things were good was more about the Locksley family etc. The actors were ok but I felt the show did not click. Robin Hood as a character himself didn't do much for me. Not sure if it was direction or the actor. DEI tick for some characters as well as modern language. Which do not suit the aesthetic of the setting its portrayed in which is a problem in most western shows nowadays. Sean Bean saved the show for me. Slightly better than King and Conquest which was really disappointing.

With a woman totally ahead of her time, even standing up to her own father (daughter of Sean Bean's character), and little John being of a completely different ethnicity than he should be, this series only lacks a caricatured character: hairy armpits and colored hair to make it worse than it already was.

Woke garbage and historical inaccurate. Black actor playing the role of little Jone and even women that can fight 10 men. This is sick fantasy promoting woke agenta it's not Robin Hood. To the pile of trash it goes.
