Masters of Sex just gets better and better.

A gorgeous period drama that swiftly establishes its risqué themes.... Masters of Sex is the best new show of the fall season.

With lead characters this complex, showrunner Michelle Ashford has plenty of material to plumb for episodes to come. Judging by the second season's start, Masters of Sex is just getting down to business.

This is the most entertaining the show has been in quite some time, but for reasons most would never have predicted. Like just about everyone in this episode, Masters of Sex has finally been liberated.

Although it’s a medical drama on one level, Masters of Sex is frequently laugh-out-loud funny, with romances, mysteries and coming-of-age stories unfolding throughout its large cast.

While the time jump may be troubling, the real issues tarnishing the luster of this once-sterling series are a loss of focus and an increasingly heavy hand when it comes to illustrating the complexities of Master's and Johnson's odd relationship.

Watching Masters plod around in despair, while Johnson rejects his attentions, doesn't feel suspenseful, since we know at some point these two are going to tie the knot. By this point, it's hard to care about their relationship, or the fate of their sex-research clinic.

On suit les tribulations d’un fouineur de chattes et de son assistante qui aime la bite mais franchement, tout ça manque singulièrement de piment : j’ai la désagréable impression de regarder un épisode de Derrick, ce qui pour une série sur le cul est putain de sacrément ballot ! Je mets un point néanmoins, surtout pour Lizzy Caplan, vraiment épatante dans toute cette nullité de série à dormir debout mais c’est tout. On s’emmerde en effet énormément là-dedans, c’est dingue ce qu’on peut s’emmerder dans cette tortue de série pourrie boulottée par des scénaristes sous Prozac… On s’emmerde décidément trop, beaucoup trop dans cette limace de série de merde bêtement putassière et au ras des pâquerettes.
