Jett understands it's exploring familiar territory, but it does so with unusual daring and intensity.

Gugino (who did briefly play the first Silk Spectre in Watchmen) thankfully lives up to the challenge. It’s a great performance buoying a pretty good show, and the sort of thing Gugino’s had in her for a long time, even if her jobs have only occasionally allowed her to demonstrate it to this spectacular degree.

Awesome. Lead female character that is smart and at times forced to be brutal. Unapologetic the way leading action star men are. Stylish and well written. Characters you care about. I feel like each episode is a mini movie. The director is fabulous and Carla Gugino doesn't over act, she is really perfect for this role.

Loved it. Carla Gugino is such a magnetizing artist. Hoping for more seasons of this.

Jett is probably a little too derivative for its own good, but through five of its first nine episodes, it marks another fun-but-not-too-deep entry in Cinemax's stable of expanded B-movie genre pieces. And it's a great showcase for Gugino.

Creator Sebastian Gutierrez fills Jett with indulgent pulp: women fighting in prison shower, split screens, freeze-frames, cheeky sexposition. it's all a bit much, and the pacing's too glacial to qualify for Cinemaximum escapism. [14/21 Jun 2019, p.101]

If you are a Marvel Universe fan, run away fast. This is a very adult, sly, sexy crime series full of well rounded female characters and a lot of heart. Violent and like I said not for prudes. As others have stated, highly refreshing and definitely not your typical TV show. More like a noir movie in 9 parts. Best HBO show in a while.

Okay so good TV programs with flawless stories seem very rare this side of Y2K. Well, Jett is an unexpected surprise. In fact, it might be the best thing I've seen on TV since Banshee

Tour De Force! The thinking woman's crime show: thought provoking and sexy.
Great cast and sexy photography.

It was excellent. Carla Gugino was sexy, smart, and tough. It's always a pleasure to see A Woman play a strong role like this. My husband was even glued to the show with me. Can't wait for season 2, hopefully Cinemax will deliver soon.

Completely unwatchable. I hung in there for the first 35 minutes of the first episode then bailed after realizing the showrunners were trying for a Out Of Sight and Get Shorty type of show but didn't have the writing or acting to get it even a tenth of the way there. The blonde big tuffs send in command is woefully miscast with a person who couldn't deliver a line if his life depended on it. Complete Rubbish.
