A bittersweet documentary that left me feeling sad rather than enlightened or blown away. Most documentaries have a story to tell, but The Last Watch merely showcases the life of the Game of Thrones crew without delving too deeply into why this story matters. For me personally, this documentary confirms that the writers of Game of Thrones were completely checked out mentally when it came to the last season of the show. They don't make many appearances, and when they do, they look as if they couldn't care less about the story they've been telling for so long. It just made me feel sad that a show with such great acting, special effects, music, and cinematography was completely undercut by a lazy script.
