Futurama is one of those shows that absolutely deserves its “classic” status. The concept alone — a delivery boy accidentally frozen and waking up 1000 years in the future — gives it endless room for creativity, and most of the time it uses that freedom really well. The mix of sci-fi absurdity and surprisingly emotional storytelling is what sets it apart from a lot of animated comedies.That said, I can’t pretend every episode grabbed me. There are stretches where the pacing slows down, especially when the jokes lean more into niche sci-fi references or long setups. Sometimes it feels a bit too clever for its own good, and a few episodes drag more than they should. I found myself enjoying it more in bursts rather than binging **** when Futurama hits, it really hits. Episodes like “Jurassic Bark” and “The Luck of the Fryrish” are genuinely emotional, and the show has this rare ability to switch from stupid, chaotic humor to something surprisingly heartfelt within minutes. The characters also carry it — Bender’s selfish chaos, Leela’s grounded energy, and Fry’s clueless optimism create a dynamic that’s easy to come back to.Overall, it’s fun, imaginative, and easy to throw on as comfort viewing. Not flawless, occasionally a bit slow, but still a smart and entertaining classic. A solid 8/10 for me.

Greatest tv show of all time. Funny and unique jokes every season. The last 2 weren’t great but overall still a 10/10 show.

Easily the worst show by Matt Groening. Nothing adds up to anything, there is no real plot, jokes are boring. Maybe it better when it came out, but when I watched it for the first time in 2022, I could not believe this was what everyone was always recommending. I think I laughed out loud once during the whole series.

this is one of the best Animated shows of all time and it was consistently funny and despite being a comedy it also had those moments that would make you shed a tear from how sad they were

Now that is not to say the Simpsons is bad or anything, I really like it, but it has jumped the shark for a few years now. Futurama is everything I love an animated series to be, funny, original and witty. I seriously don't know where to begin praising the show. Well for one thing the animation is amazing. The characters are really well drawn, the backgrounds are audacious and the visual effects are eye-popping. And the music is brilliant, it is cleverly composed with some funky songs featuring such as "Conga" and "Sunshine of Your Love" and the theme tune is definitely memorable. The writing is outstanding, the comedy works brilliantly and the more touching and subtle parts work just as well. The episode ideas springing from a brilliant concept are really original and fun, and the pacing is great. And the characters with the help of a truly talented voice cast are really unique and endearing, especially Fry, Bender and Zoidberg, and Leela is a feisty and headstrong character that I related to immediately. Overall, a truly wonderful show, with all the fun and originality that are lacking in the later episodes of the Simpsons. 10/10 Bethany Cox

Unlike The Simpsons, Futurama did not make the same mistake and thus release new parts indefinitely. As the saying goes, it is best to end up in the best and Futurama fulfills that. It has only 7 series that do not decrease in quality in any way and the series started and ended with being excellent, so it should be friends. A lot of series are excellent, but unfortunately the quality goes down from some break, as is unfortunately the case with the Simpsons. However, Futurama did not make this mistake and it is good and it is an excellent series, which again I do not know if to recommend, because as with the Simpsons you do not have to watch the series carefully, because the parts do not follow. But this is the best rest on TV right after Simpson.
