Overall, it’s a smart, extremely watchable horror show that would likely become a big hit on a streaming giant but might get lost on Epix. Find your way to it.

While there is far more about From that works than doesn’t, it’s not clear by the midway point if it is building to much more than an impressively gory massacre or two.

Excellent show! Horrible title! The show is a wonderful drama/horror set in a small town. You will get to know and love the characters while being hooked on the mystery and suspense surrounding the monsters that prey on the townfolk. It is surprisingly great for what it is, and I highly recommend it.

It's just a great show....lots of thrills. A lot like lost but not which is good.

Shrugging off the Lost comparisons for the most part, there is plenty of entertainment to be found in From – even if it occasionally feels more generic than some of its inspirations.

Jack Bender, the director of the first four episodes, has fun with this well-worn trope. It is the kind of show in which Jim brakes hard and says: “What the … – ?” When there is a tree blocking the road, Tabitha says: “Why is there a tree blocking the road?” It must be the storm, says Jim. “That’s one selective storm,” she replies. Of course it is, Tabitha. It is a spooky-ass zone where the laws of nature don’t apply.

Given the long history of mystery-box shows better at teasing ideas than delivering them, such skepticism isn’t necessarily unwarranted. And yet, From offers enough glimmers of promise that it’s tough to write off entirely.

“From” maintains the audiences’ interest because of Harold Perrineau’s acting. He believes in the character and so does the audience. But like many of the shows it’s inspired/imitating, depending on your view, it spends too much time setting up its world and not pushing the story forward.

I love the scenery. The monsters whispering outside the houses are quite scary. I'm really enjoying this show.

"From" is an interesting horror series and if you like horror you will probably like "From". I could say a lot of positive things about the series but it has a problem so many films have in today's entertainment world. The casting ranges from good to excellent except for the main character. I see this over and over again: really good casting for almost every character except for the lead character or characters. My theory is that almost all of the casting is done by professionals skilled in casting - except for the lead characters. The lead characters are selected by producers and/or directors and/or writers who have poor casting skills. Such is the case in "From". Harold Perrineau was absolutely a poor selection for the lead role os the sheriff Boyd Stevens. So, why did this happen? I did some research, and I couldn't figure it out. I think it perhaps sometimes goes... oh, let's get Tom Cruise! He wants to do the lead role! But, Tom Cruise would be a poor choice for the role. Who cares - it's Tom Cruise! Or - some other logic involving not selecting a good choice for a role.

Boooring. The fist episode was good, the second was decent, the rest is just a bad soap opera. It suffers from what many shows suffer today, they have an idea for like 2-3 hours, then fill it up with, well, filler, lots of time where nothing really happens, and there are like 10 minutes of the plot (if there is one) really advancing.

Starts off promising, but by a few episodes in it's crystal clear that the writers have no plan and are just making stuff up as they go.

Hearing of the setting and idea for this show i was interested. But it suffers from bland writing and poor cast.
