Cunk on Earth is a deeply funny, unexpectedly informative mockumentary that delivers as many laughs as fun little facts and tidbits about human history. It is, in short, the best show you’re not watching right now.

The producers ask each subject to be as sincere as possible, and to essentially treat Cunk as a naive child. The dynamic works beautifully, and they are often still flummoxed by the things she say. ... What a ridiculous person is Philomena Cunk. What a very funny show is Cunk on Earth.

I love learning about history, and I love when journalists ask the hard questions that make others feel uncomfortable and this is just the show for me. it's funny and entertaining unlike most educational or history shows

11/10, absolutely watch it. Is it perfect? No. But I literally cannot remember the last time I laughed so hard. We're talking full-on hysterics: tears streaming, violent hiccups, falling to the floor and wailing, with no time to catch your breath because it just. keeps. coming. The timing, the delivery, the LOOKS on the actual experts' faces; every second brings a new wave of laughter. I definitely suggest watching it in a group, where watching each others' reactions just adds to the show.

Brooker and his writing staff seem to be able to expertly balance the idea that, in the broad sense, what Cunk is saying as a presenter is correct, but her notions and opinions on those facts are completely bonkers. It’s that tension that makes Cunk On Earth work. ... Cunk On Earth is funny without straining for laughs.

Cunk on Earth is a consistently droll, frequently delightful series that mixes high and low comedy at a breakneck pace. The punchlines don’t always land — in part because of inconsistency in the way the character has evolved — but if one observation feels too glib or one target feels too on-the-nose, don’t worry. Philomena Cunk will be moving right along to the next. By the end of these episodes, darned if I wasn’t seeing signs of actual emotion and depth poking through.

As much as this is about Morgan’s performance, it’s also about the quality of the writing. Brooker and his writing team do the faux-naivety shtick brilliantly. They do highbrow and lowbrow indiscriminately.

I found most of “Cunk,” while frightfully clever and well made, and masterfully performed by Morgan, not quite funny enough.

Best comedy since, well I can’t think of a lot of funny comedies that are by the same mediocre men that the US tend to push out onto screens. This is unique and oddly introspective.

This show gives breath into an almost dead genre. The mockumentary. Similar to Nathan For You, The Office and P&R, it has that mild humor that makes you laugh on the first watch, but makes you laugh harder on multiple watches. Please don't let this show die. We need more praise for this show to reach Netflix and it's hideously large and boring archive of mediocre spin-off shows, sitcoms with laugh-tracks, and uninspired films + film sequels.

This show was very fun to watch. The questions were meant to annoy the people being interviewed. Overall a great show and very entertaining.

what if Borat was a British woman? We are supposed to laugh at the brash stupidity, fatuity and pretention of Cunk's musings and the incredulous answers of polite, well-educated interviewees. Just like in Borat, with less toilet humour, it gets boring very fast. The Brits do have this very bad habit of hiding their inflated ego and lack of substance behind this hypocritically fake self-effacing mockery. Un très mauvais goût....
