Six weeks after being released from prison, Miri is staying out of trouble with both a new job and a date with neighbor Billy - until a surprise visitor arrives in town to put her optimistic outlook to the test. Season premiere.

Miri develops an interesting theory after being struck by a car. While the town prepares for Lara's vigil, Miri is unwittingly taken to meet Billy's family for the first time and uses the opportunity to reinvent herself.

Mark confronts Miri, setting off a chain reaction of events that threaten to derail Miri's date with Billy. Meanwhile Oscar and Caroline discover a surprise visitor on their doorstep and are forced to finally reckon with Caroline's affair.

With Mandy on her mind and John still missing, Miri prepares to take her driving test but is interrupted by a gruesome discovery. Oscar ropes Dom in on his environmental activism.

With still no word from Mandy, Miri realizes it's time to go to the police before they come for her. But first a farewell date with Billy - that gets interrupted by his mother. Oscar and Caroline grow closer after a strange night with Dom.
