Nagahisa's script dares to embrace true nihilism: not selfishness, not posturing decadence, but the genuine commitment to your core that the meaningless of the world isn't a bug, it's a feature. These zombies may be dancing in the trash, but at least they're dancing.

Fitfully-entertaining, the film says many things in many different ways about one subject – the de-sensitising effect of the have-it-all media age on young people. Prolonged exposure to it will certainly reawaken the senses, although not in a way that’s always welcome.

What an interesting premise. I hope it's shot in traditional fashion. Oh, it's not? That's OK, the cinematography is great. Actually, I don't like the cinematography. Wait, I do. What's with this soundtrack? It's terrible. No wait, it's amazing. I want to hear that song again! Wow, the imagery is beautiful. Well wait, now it's weird. There are too many cuts. It's not making sense. Wait, now it makes sense, that's nice. Do we really need an intro for all four characters? I'm glad we had an intro for all four characters. There's another great song? That's nice but it's done now. How will this end? Oh, it ended.
