Tyler Perry's Divorce in the Black

"Divorce in Black" is a good ole fashion relationship drama with plenty of country clan culture. It is a good movie with good acting, especially Meagan, Cory, and Debbi.

O filme é preto no branco, construindo personagens com a sutileza de um elefante: um relacionamento tóxico, uma mulher bobinha que desabrocha ao final, famílias antagônicas no lado moral, um cavalheiro para servir como suporte à donzela. Filmes como "Uma ideia de você" acabam tendo desenvolvimento mais apurado do que isso aqui. Assim, basicamente não há conflito, pois é muito escrachado o macho escroto em detrimento à rede de apoio da mocinha, então são horas a acompanhar um **** esperado. Ainda assim, serve como alerta, há uma boa intenção aqui, uma mensagem interessante e salutar.

I was never gonna watch this because it's a Tyler Perry movie. But after someone gave it a "solid 4", I thought: ok, let me see. The first scene alone was enough. Typical Tyler Perry. He's the only producer who knows how to shock you with how much worse his new material can be from what you've seen before. I sat through it coz why would Amazon Prime Video spent so much money on this? A terrible mess. 2/10!

Tyler Perry repeatedly figures out slightly different ways to pit men and women against each other. Does that say something about his targeted audience, or does it say something about him? I stopped watching after 30 minutes, but my wife regrettably stayed to the end.

This just might be the worst movie I've ever seen, and I've seen some real stinkers over the years. The first scene is so outrageously inappropriate and unrealistic. Actually, it plays perfectly as a comedy. It is unintentionally hilarious. Also why is the daughter of the preacher showing half her boobs at a funeral? lol weird
