While the film may thematically point to real-world struggles in the United States, The Twits is mostly an accessible story about the power of empathy in the face of naked evil, all to the tune of about a thousand fart jokes.

It's funny, it's zany, it looks good, and has some really great character work going for it, but it probably would have turned out better as a product of the 20th century.

I Only Watched It Because Of Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The Animation Is Not The Best Ane There Were Some Good Moments, And Some Not Good Moments But It's A Okay Film. I Was Not Gonna Watch It Until I Saw Maitreyi Ramakrishnan Was Gonna Be In It And I Loved Her Character, Maitreyi Did Really Well In The Twits But The Film Is Kinda Mid Except For Maitreyi's Character.

"The Twits" is exactly what one might imagine a Netflix Dahl adaptation to be: Diluted, simplistic animation, as cloying and **** and smoothed over as anything from the last decade of Netflix animated films.

There is a sense at times that Johnston has over-compensated for Dahl’s cynicism with his wondrous children and their magical friends, and a bit too much of “The Twits” feels like it desperately wants us to love Beesha and Bubsy, even if they’re kind of shallowly conceived and designed.

That the film has such a strong, timely moral argument makes one reconsider its creative merits.

Any of Dahl’s gruesome sense of fun is obliterated by a bulldozing message of empathy and kindness, thanks to a plucky orphan Beesha (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and her pals pulling together an opposition to the Twits. This is vile and revolting in all the wrong ways.

The Twits is exactly what one might imagine a Netflix Dahl adaptation to be: Diluted, simplistic animation, as cloying and feckless and smoothed over as anything from the last decade of Illumination films.

If you don’t actually want to make a film out of a Roald Dahl book, this critic’s advice is: don’t.

Very boring film, nothing like the books ,don't recommend to anyone and there was a lot of gross unnecessary details .

A disgusting insult to Roald Dahl and his incredible body of work. Wes Anderson got it right. This gets EVERYTHING wrong. Seems like this was made for the awful human beings who would want to read the butchered versions of Dahls beloved original stories. Dahls family should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for letting all of this happen. It's practically dancing on his grave.
