The film is called, and certainly contains, cries from Syria but in itself Afineevsky’s documentary is more of a shout, a piercing scream.

While Afineevsky generally manages to pack in a lot of detail, analysis, nuance and humanism, this is largely absent in the last chapter, which feels like it was rushed together at the last minute and didn’t receive the same amount of time, care and thought as the film’s previous chapters

One of those documentaries where you ask, how many times can your heart break. To see the devastation of millions of people, mostly through the eyes of children. It's a hard documentary to watch because the dead and dying are never hidden, but its important because it reminds us we need to stand against hate, not forget there are always innocents trapped by bombs and armies, and, hopefully, try to find the humane in humanity.

Shameless lies and propaganda. The "rebels" are simply Al Qaeda with a different name. These terrorist Wahabbi scum are funded and trained by Saudi Arabia and Turkey to topple President Assad so they can install their own puppet regime in the country and take over Syria's oil.
