This is as pure a narrative-based film as one is likely to find; the men and women populating 6 Days exist primarily to move the story along.

Really well put together. Interesting, thought-provoking true story of the siege at the Iranian embassy in London. The cast are well selected and flawless in their performance. As a former soldier I found the portrayal of the SAS particularly realistic. It is really refreshing to see a movie that sticks to the facts and does not distort an already amazing true story.

I was impressed with this because it seems to have stuck to telling the story of the siege without embellishing what happened or adding stuff that did not **** was a situation that showed that in the UK terrorism of this kind had no place and nor will it ever and it showed that the UK armed forces are some of the best trained and prepared for such a situation and most of all people around the world got the message that the SAS are not just any special forces unit they are some of the most professional and well trained special forces soldiers on earth. It struck me as realistic and not a gun ho action flick and it also taught you the respect these men had as well as those who controlled them when it came to not making mistakes when they hit the embassy it lasted precisely five minutes from start to end. It seems a lot longer in the film but it shows how well planned out the operation was. Good adaption of a real world event into film. Only let down by the wooden acting of Abbie Cornish as Kate Aidie she sounds completely uninterested and is trying too hard with her accent.

6 Days boils down the intricate relationship between Iran and the West into a tense standoff of conflicting ideals where the values and perspectives of only one side really matter.

With a barrage of title-card identifications, 6 Days can feel closer to a re-enactment than a thriller. To the extent that the movie has a political angle, it’s perhaps gratuitously jingoistic.

It was something like average - I mean maybe they should've shown how special forces came to exist a bit of back story and then how led to this and how they were exposed and maybe some back story about people attacking embassy. This focused solely on those 6 days (as per title of course) - while it was ok and I guess good retelling to what really happened, as for movie itself, it lacked something

A week of middle-east circus in London! The 1980 London terror attack. Those days are just the beginning of this new terrorism culture of middle-east. By the way, why should the world care about if one terror seeking just from another. That's the platform of this film. All about middle-east **** dragged into the west. Based on the real. The film was slow, though a decent film. Obviously predictable, but worth a watch. When the iranese embassy was taken hostage by a terror group with demands placed the England government to fulfil, how they have tackled the situation was told from multiple people's angle who were involved in it. One thing it's missing was the some aspect of the tale from the hostages. I don't know why they did emotionalised this tale. Especially from the negative side. The actors were nice, the production too. Other than that it was not a most expected film of the year. Maybe not many have heard of it. Except it's more like a television film, I think once watchable. 6/10

A simple, brisk, well cast TV-movie masquerading as a feature film. It's pretty and it's serviceable and engaging but it's not directed with any authorship, any memorable panache, or with any POV. A little more character depth, some more moments between moments to surprise or show creativity or realism or humanity could have elevated this material. The politics of people working in an embassy are so varied that it would be interesting to try and understand that. 6 Days is often so perfunctory that its cliches almost stray into parody.

6 Days is without question a flawed film. For a film that barely reaches 90 minutes, there did feel like a significant amount of filler. The constant use of subtitles and character title cards was unnecessary. The SAS soldiers weren't particularly likeable as characters, the female BBC reporter - regardless of how accurate to reality - was rather irritating and added nothing of value to the plot. The finale was too drawn out and overdramatised. And yet I can't help but take a liking to the film. It helps that the cinematography varies from good to breathtaking: the production values shown here are fantastic. The conversations between Mark Strong and Ben Turner are the true highlights of the film, and both portrayed the strongest characters. It's just a shame that when the credits roll, I felt like more could have been done with the material here.
