With the absence of a multiplayer, WW2 Tank Commander has very little replay value. There’s just not enough interesting gameplay to warrant the budget £20 price tag. Still, if you enjoy tank games or WWII in general, you may find something here.

For 20 bucks or so it’s not too terrible for the money. This will most likely appeal to younger players or those who want to jump in and play without spending time thumbing through an extensive manual.

It's neither too short nor too long, and the few genuinely pulse-pounding battles are worth the price of admission.

This budget action game has its moments, but it's also a very shallow experience with very little depth or replayability.

So yes, arcade simplicity can be fun, but as WWII Tank Commander has proven, it can also be very boring.

I could almost forgive the game's straightforward control style if it weren't for the incredibly predictable missions and the total lack of realism.

It’s a novel enough concept in a setting that has produced many enjoyable shooters, but it just doesn’t deliver much excitement. Even if you stick with the game through its relatively short campaign, there’s no real motivation to play through it a second time.

While finishing the campaign might do justice to the exploits of American armored divisions in WWII (you beat all the Germans in the end), this game as a whole doesn’t do any justice to the role of armor.

An experienced gamer would find this under-stimulating and be able to blow through it in a matter of hours. I've certainly spend more money, in less time, on worse things, but it doesn't take an accounting genius to tell me that I've got to stop wasting my money on games like this.
