A pleasant peek for fans of univers, who want more "forties". The remaining players of turn-based strategies lets look elsewhere. There is a lot to choose from.
If you like your battles tactical then this is a great game to sink you teeth into. The campaign escalates nicely and does a good job of selling the desperation of your mission. Being able to easily switch out your units and play around with army composition is also a really nice touch that means you don’t end up locked into a single playstyle. Campaign re-playability is somewhat lacking but the skirmish mode gives you the chance to play against friends so there is that. Considering how many new campaigns and modes were added to Deadlock over the years, we can probably expect some expansions in the future.

This solid turned-based tactical game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and focused on the struggle of the Blood Angels against nightmarish Tyranids is more fun than you might expect. It definitely deserves the Emperor’s blessing. [10/2021, p.30]

Good gameplay all around but with one HUGE feature missing - changing HQ upgrades. If you reach the sisters of battle mission an haven't bought the infantry unit frag grenade feature, you can't possibly save any of them (even with a fleet of land speeders, I tried) Doesn't block progress, but it feels like bad design. You won't get many HQ upgrade points for that mission because of the failure.

To date, ‘Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector’ is the best digital rendition of the Warhammer 40k table-top miniatures game that I’ve ever played. The amazing attention to detail and unknowing nature of each mission will resonate deeply with 40k fans and be a good starting point for newcomers to the franchise. Personally, I would have loved to have seen more factions engaged in battle but introducing the Sisters of Battle as reinforcements has been a clever way to expand the list of units available without straying away from the deep lore that the game is set in. Although I wouldn’t call ‘Battlesector’ a difficult game, it does pose quite the challenge for players of all skill levels. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to get into Warhammer or is already a fan. Hopefully more units and factions will become available in the future, further adding to enormous amount replay value.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a solid strategy game and an excellent addition to the Warhammer catalogue. Although the game only comes with two playable factions, its variety of units for each faction and original combat mechanics keep the game’s core gameplay fast-paced, dynamic, and interesting. This, combined with beautiful visuals and an immersive story told in typical Warhammer fashion, makes for a fun strategy romp from beginning to end, no matter whether you’re a die-hard Warhammer fan or a total newcomer to the Warhammer world. If you’re keen on turn-based strategy, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will be an excellent addition to your library.

Strongly recommend this game, it's one of the best Warhammer 40k games so far. It appeals on so many levels, good tactical challenges, serious strategic planning as you decide how to upgrade your people and much more. Even the music is good.

Great TBS game set in the WH40k universe. The story, graphics and gameplay are all 1st rate. In a departure from most WH40k tactical games it is fully voiced and the voiceover is some of the best I have experienced in a strategy game. The missions are interesting and propel the story forward adding new troops with each one. The game is only let down by a few QoL failings and it could use more than 2 factions at release. even so it's an excellent game worthy of your time and money.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector beats the pants off of other recent 40K tactical games, making a run at skirmish wargame greatness. While it's limited in places and the interface can struggle, the tactical combat is well worth the time it takes to learn and the Momentum system rewards your strategic prowess with more capacity to dish out pain. From the diverse campaign missions to the straightforward skirmishes, I not only recommend Battlesector, but hope that it does well enough to warrant the addition of many new factions in DLC and expansions.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector doesn't shine in any of its key aspects, but is well represented by the sum of its parts. It is a solid strategy, developed with competence and with a sense of proportion, with which experts of the genre will immediately find themselves at ease. The impression that he is missing a few pieces is still there, and we would have gladly exchanged part of the long campaign for a more in-depth progression system or a management component. Those simply looking for "yet another Warhammer 40,000 strategy" may have found it.

Sleek graphics, superlative voice acting, simple but deep mechanics: Battlesector takes full advantage of the universe created by Games Workshop to provide immediate and challenging turn-based strategy. Unfortunately, at times, the difficulty is excessive and it seems that there is only one way to win.

Best warhammer 40k game since Dawn Of War 2 Imho. This game is just lacking more factions which the devs Stated in roadmap they were bringing!. Hope for Necrons,Imperial Gaurd and Chaos Factions! Game has some Balancing issues but Its pretty dang polished and well made for a Indie game" This game has alot of love put into it far more then most 40k games. Support this game and Dev team so we can get more quality Warhammer 40k games!

The gameplay was alright, though there's not a lot of variation throughout the missions. The story throws too much Warhammer gibberish at you and it's hard to follow what they're talking about at times. Date Completed: 2021-08-08 Playtime: 20h Enjoyment: 7/10 Recommendation: There aren't a lot of new, playable turn-based games. It's worth a go.

Good Old Waha I'm not a true fan of the Warhammr 40 k universe, but I like Dawn of War Trilogy (TBS) and Space Marine (Shooter). The game feels like homecoming to Dow, but nothing more - just an average experience with dead multiplayer. Visual (7/10): Graphic is good as for strategies, music average, but together with the colors, canonical pictures of the main characters, detailed equip - it creates true Warhammer 40k atmosphere. The interface is a bit archaic, but if you play strategies in the beginning of 2000s you can feel nostalgic. Gameplay (5/10): Gameplay is average and varies from missions. Main problem - only 2 fractions - less strategies. Missions in the middle **** are boring - you need to rush to spot A and just kill all. After finishing the game I can remember hardly 3-4 missions from 20. Multiplayer is rather dead than alive, I've tried it, but still boring and long queue (maybe I'm unlucky) Good points - some rpg elements - you upgrade branches for a commander and related squads are upgraded also. You can customize each squad - great option, but due to only 2 fractions till the end of the game you finalize your blood angels and smash Tyranids - its fun but straightforward. Story (7/10) - For non Waha fans - you need to watch the entranced video for about 2 hours to understand the background. After this you can admire the story. So the story is good, just because of the background. The characters are very average and not very epic. If you are the Warhammer 40 k fan or want to check what is all about - it's definitely worth to try, just for atmosphere. In other cases - you will not miss anything.

As True an attempt at the tabletop form embodied in a video game I have ever played, true Warhammer fans should appreciate the aesthetic as well as the game play.
