War Theatre has a good amount of content and offers decent tactical gameplay but the lack of variety in units makes each mode and campaign feel largely the same.

War Theatre made me initially hesitant but once I got to grips with its challenging and rewarding gameplay, I was hooked.

Excellent turn-based strategy game, highly reminiscent to Advance Wars. Beautiful, highly detailed artwork that can sometimes be too 'busy' for the eye. Interesting storyline and world building that I want to see more of in the future. All told, a game that will absolutely lull you into playing 'just one more turn'.

The game is good, not great but fine. Grabbed this on sale. It's a turn based strategy, you produce units at your base, the mission is always to kill the enemy hero or capture all of his buildings. You have 7 campaigns, each having 6 missions, so it's a lot of content. You can also play skirmishes beyond the campaign. By accepting optional quests you can also buy perks to help you improve your game a bit. The main issue is that the game gets repetitive after a while; all campaigns play largely the same way because the units are exactly the same, the only thing that changes is your hero. You can platinum this one without difficulty. The trophy for skirmishes was glitchy for me but i ended up getting it after 3 attempts. The game crashed 3 or 4 times in some specific moves, for example when the hero rat mother counterattacks. When I avoided these moves it went well. The crashing was not a big issue because the game autosaves after each turn.
