Undertale is absolutely unique. It's a RPG masterpiece full of weird characters and a moving message.
With multiple endings based on how you choose to play out your run, set pieces that can play out very differently based on your actions and so many incredible moments that we’d love to share but daren’t do so for risk of spoiling anything, Undertale is easily one of the indie standouts of last year.
Through a combination of often relaxed but sometimes tense gameplay, a dreamy atmosphere, and genuine characters that feel like they’re actually alive and all living together in this isolated society of longing, Undertale transcends its medium and becomes a genuinely moving experience I would recommend to anyone who is open to a sometimes sorrowful, sometimes hilarious, always bizarre and engaging emotional journey.

Such a good indie game, prolly the indie game that started the indie game craze, and **** understandable. Such a fun and goofy game while also having a theme ****, prolly like being a good friend to others and not giving...because despite **** still you!

Despite being Toby Fox's "demo" game for his future project Deltarune, Undertale has one of the richest and fascinating stories that I have seen in gaming. The gameplay is simple and easy to learn, yet hard to master (and you will need to master it if you want to complete all the endings). Undertale has incredibly memorable characters, lore which has sprouted endless theories within the fanbase, as well as an incredible soundtrack which I still listen to regularly. Undertale offers a unique and extremely enjoyable experience, which has only been replicated by its successor Deltarune. For that, Undertale will always have a special place in my heart.

Regardless of its indie status, Undertale is one of the best and most inspired RPGs in years. By playing with traditional, turn-based mechanics, creator Toby Fox has crafted an experience with a legitimate surprise around every corner. If you have a PC and ten bucks, you owe it to yourself to play this amazing game.

That's the kind of game that comes at the right time of your life. This game defined a short period of my life itself and I love the way I escaped real life with it

Without spoiling the many ways it will screw with your expectations, it isn't possible to truly capture how wonderful Undertale is. You wouldn't know it with a passing glance, but it's one of the most progressive and innovative RPGs to come in a long time, breaking down tradition for the sake of invention, with great success.

A mesmerizing emotional trip, Undertale is an indie prodigy full of whimsical humor, battle system innovations and deep moral decisions, even if it feels underdeveloped at some points. You will not be the same after you play it.

Although Undertale has a generally compelling story and characters, the gameplay is where it really falls apart. Undertale is a bullet-hell, at it's core. And to me, those kinds of games aren't fair difficulty. I do want to add, though, that the art is good, and it really is just the gameplay that brings the entire thing down for me. Also, Sans. 4/10.

One of the most overrated games of its time. I didn't understand why it was loved then and I don't understand why it's loved now. Even if I have nothing else to do in life, it's not a game I'll spend time with. It might make a good animated movie, but it's not worth playing as a game.
