Apart from its great art style, I honestly don’t know why I should choose The Tomorrow Children over a crowd of similar survival games. [12/2016, p.58]

Simple and fun, if you're into these types of games. Mining and collecting resources for your town with others online is something I never though I'd love doing in a game. I'll gladly spend more money on it if it was released again.

This game is one of my favorite games I've ever played, it's so addicting, unique, the atmosphere is eery, the music is awesome, it feels so satisfying to play this. This is a brilliant masterpiece and I really want to play it again, please bring it back.

A multiplayer game that may be different than any other game out there, but still capable of engaging gamers to this empty world.

The Tomorrow Children is an odd beast then, full of quirky imagery and profoundly daft moments inspired by a sense of community, but it’s not all that welcoming, which is a problem for a community-based game. Time will tell if The Tomorrow Children can gain enough of a following to make it work.

The Tomorrow Children has a great potential, yet it is a wasted potential. It should have been a much better game but in it's current early access state, it's not worth paying.

The Tomorrow Children is weird, wonderful and oddly hollow, lacking neither the addictive hooks to keep you playing, nor the sense of community to bond you to your town. It’s worth a look for its unique visuals and strange, slightly sinister atmosphere, but don’t be surprised if your interest wanes after the first few hours.

A very pretty game, but the general gameplay comes through as monotonous and fatiguing - much like the overall Soviet theme, ironically.

In the end, it’s kitsch. It’s a Soviet-themed Lego set that renders a monumental socio-political phenomenon into little else but a toy. And an exceptionally boring one at that.

Good looking, but frustrating, lengthy, messy and ultimately trivial.

Why the hell do I keep playing this? HELP ME!!! Play entertaining but quickly loses meaning and becomes repetitive, even so it is highly addictive, you do not need to invest money to be able to go on at all so I do not consider it a free to play as it is.

A good experiment about the social cooperation to achive a common target. The atmosphere looks great but the fact of repeating the same tasks every time ends in boring and the feeling of reward lacks. A good experiment but not a good game.

Tomorrow Children seems built from the ground up to be a cash machine. The game play loop is centered around resources, most of which need to be gathered in a tedious process. The carrot is the ability to make it less tedious with better tools, skills, etc-- the stick is the real money you need to spend in order to access those game saving items. I found the initial few hours interesting and the act of discovery of "dolls" (a very important resource which adds citizens to your town) enticing. Soon after, though, it was clear that the frustration of a tiny inventory, long bus rides, and monotonous activities were going to far outweigh the interesting introductory phase of the game. You will get no where without spending real money, and even if you did plop down some bucks and get yourself some quality pick axes, what was it all really leading towards..... Overall, Tomorrow Children has some interesting ideas, but its focus on the menial without a worthwhile goal, and its lopsided balance towards real money players, makes it a failed experiment....just like the socialism it playfully mirrors.

It's free to play but they constantly ask for money. It's two separate games if you pay or don't pay. Things take forever if you don't pay. This is more like a mobile game in their pricing model than a playstation one.
