GMR Magazine
The boss battles and platforming challenges vary just enough, and the minigames (such as the side-scrolling shooter level and the "Excitebike"-inspired motorcycle race) are great. [Dec 2003, p.104]

Fans of the new TV series and even older fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will enjoy this title, provided they can ignore the skateboarding and other driving sections of the game.

It's a fun and fresh play. [Dec 2003, p.151]

This game uses life meters and I like knowing when the guy I am attacking will faint. Each time the game is solved with a turtle the story reveals itself a bit more. The game also reveals a secret code you can use on either the Game Boy Advance or GameCube. With all of the levels, secret codes, mini-games and all four turtles, you will find this game a pleasure to play.

A mixed bag. The innovative level design and variety keep things interesting, but it's over far too quickly.

GameCube Advanced
It is a fun game for a crazy new TMNT fan, but older TMNT fans will be disappointed by the exclusion of the original cartoon characters.

GameReviewer
The graphics are surprisingly good and showcase exactly what the Gameboy Advance is capable of.

GameSpot
A brand-new game that combines simple beat-'em-up gameplay with the kind of run-and-jump action that has been done so often, and oftentimes much better, in numerous other side-scrolling games.

But with all the complaints, the game is a hoot while it lasts, though it’s over before you really have a chance to get into it.
