Glimmers of that CS charm, but needs another year in development and local servers before standing alongside such heavyweights. [Nov 2013, p.91]

Tactical Intervention has been proclaimed as the new Counter Strike's successor. That was the expectation. Reality give us a game that is simply not worthy to be compared to the Counter Stike brand, because of the extremely buggy technical structure, the "free-to-PAY" attitude, and some anachronistic gameplay choices. We won't say it's completely rubbish, it can be even fun for some minutes, indeed, but we don't think we will spend any other time (or money) again on it.

It feels rushed and it's probably only good as a reminder how unapproachable team shooters have been at the turn of the millennium.

It's an amazing game, I like it even more because I used to play it back in 2013 on my grandma's laptop so it's nostalgic and yeah the mechanics, gameplay is just fantastic, did I mention the gore? It's not super mega exaggerated but also not so dull, I think all shooters should have gore and dismemberment, it just feels so good to headshot someone, but it feels even better if you destroy their head with a satisfying gory sound to it.

This game is just... idek what to say. Without a doubt this game is terrible when played seriously, especially since parts of it a really broken. Everything from the graphics to the gameplay just isn't good, and it feels really clunky. But something about games like this just seem to be fun. It's fun to play with your friends on a game that's laughably bad, it just makes for a funny experience. If your going into this game wanting to play seriously, its not gonna be fun. The game is just not fun to play seriously, especially when there are SOOOO many better games that have similar concepts. If you have a group of friends who want to get a bunch of laughs and go full try-hard mode on a broken game, this is the game you want to be playing. Especially since it's free.

This game is nice as it a csgo but for free. I really enjoy it and recommend it for people who like a fast-paced game as it delivers that. Overall it is a very nicely done game and should deserve more marks than it already has.

Tactical Intervention is an honest online shooter, but doesn't have any excellence point to make it indispensable to play.

Vestigial mechanics wrapped around a dated tactical shooter. Play this for the VIP Car Escort mode. [July 2013, p.86]

Now that the game is more polished, it's a lot less buggy, has better maps, and is more balanced. I'm not a giant fan of modern FPS games, but TI does it's best to provide an exhilarating team-based experience comparable to CS:GO.

It's unfortunate then that the game is buried under a myriad of problems, from dated, ugly presentation to shooting that feels clumsy.

What balance there is in Tactical Intervention is precarious at best. Mechanics have been piled on mechanics - ideas the game's creator always envisaged adding to his first game before Counter-Strike was firmly thrust into the hands of its community.

Tactical Intervention is a game involving unique game modes and gameplay. Considering that the game is a free multiplayer game, it contains reasonable graphics. However comparing to other games, the graphics do not meet a high standard and are unstable. Nevertheless after several updates, the developers managed to improve the stability of the graphics and the movements have become more smooth. Moreover it is a game that can be played by many people, whether their computer specs are not very good or excellent. There have been many complaints about the game crashing - well from personal experience, I suggest you check your computer specs or clean out all useless files in your computer, because I am not having any problem playing the game, yet I do not have a very good gaming computer. To conclude, Tactical Intervention may not have the "requirements", features or graphics that present-day FPS's have - however not considering the amount of lag and bug, it is one very strong and good FREE FPS game.

Pros: Fun gameplay, good concept, lots of players, "free-to-play" Cons: Pay to win, bad graphics, can be buggy, bad vehicular control, no iron site/scope for weapons (unless you buy extras)

Tactical Intervention is a FPS which uses the source engine. This game is in a state of Needs A Update. It's okay but I would expect a lot more from the person who gave us CS-1.7 and CS:Source. Yes the person who made Counter-Strike made this mess. I think the man was trying to stick to EVERYTHING LOOK 2004 OTHER WISE I KILL YOU! However there is just 1 mission that makes up for this game. That's why it's a 4. MISSION HIGHWAY. A mission about traveling round in glitchy cars bashing the FBI while shooting out a window at some on coming traffic. It is stupid fun. The driving is stale and the gamemode also becomes stale after a while which is a same. Although it does try to mix up the matches. Though it does now work to well. Overall -Bad Graphics -Glitchy Gameplay -Stupidly Fun Highway Mission Score 46/100
SummaryTactical Intervention is the latest creation from Counter Strike co-creator, Minh ‘Gooseman’ Le. A first-person tactical shooter, Tactical Intervention revisits the classic battle of Terrorists vs. Counter Terrorists and expands it to include fast-paced driving combat, intelligent AI hostages, controllable K9 units, dead drop rappelling ...
