THIS is how a remake should be. Captured the look and feel of the originals, while adding a few things that elevated the games and did not take away. 10/10

It's very easy to see why everyone loves the Spyro games. Amazing cartoony artstyle that fits so well with each level and home world you enter. It controls greatly. It graphically looks very great. The platforming and gliding is so good. The bosses are very fun. The story in each game is simple but very good. I like how each story gets better after each game. Just a true gem of a trilogy.

This is new and improved. Why go back to play those blurry classic games. This is an easy step up. Ripto's Rage is the best in terms of atmosphere, nostalgia, levels but isn't my personal favorite. Year of the Dragon is the fun one, probably the one I play the most. And the first game is a good playthrough for nostlagia, even if some of its levels / worlds are passable. This is the ultimate spyro game to play.

Personal favorite platformer of the playstation. The remaster looks amazing and plays even better. Its a gem. Will run through all 3 again someday. Already platinumed all 3, and 106% all the 3 during the ps1 days as well.

While I adore the first two spyro games and I would easily rate it either an 8 or 9 I can't do that here as they ruined hunters voice. He went from a moron with a heart of gold to a dumb airhead skater broo type voice. My poor hunter.

Spyro 1-3 are bonafide classics for the PS1, but this remaster is horribly oversaturated. As for the positives, they do a great job making the 3 games feel uniform and seamless. They feel like 3 chapters of the same interconnected story, which was a pleasant surprise. The controls are smooth and user interface presentation is nice. Adding Skill Points to Spyro 1 was also awesome, and I love how they're separate challenges and not tied to any trophies, as it gives more life to the game after earning the Platinum. As for the negatives, they cranked the saturation color palette way too high, and it is consistent throughout all 3 games. Somebody needs to tell Toys for Bob that brighter doesn't mean better... The oversaturation is just too much. Similar issues have been patched or corrected in the past in games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Definitive Edition. It would be a welcome improvement. As for the games themselves, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage was my favorite growing up, but playing through them again, I think 1 and 3 may outshine it. Freeing the dragons in 1 and hatching the dragon eggs in 3 is more fun than collecting the portal orbs in 2. I liked how they brought back the Egg Thieves in Spyro 3 after seldomly appearing in Spyro 2. And the Sparx mini-games in 3 are really fun. Variety in general is a theme in the Spyro games. Each level features a completely different type of enemy and world theme. Nowadays, people consider "collectibles" to be poor form in gaming. However the Spyro trilogy is a prime example of why collectibles can be fun and satisfying, especially since you have Sparx to point you in the right direction if you are missing any gems. The games are much easier than I remember. They're short, family-friendly, and quite accessible difficulty-wise, so would be fun for almost anyone. I would consider them must-play games for any fans of platformers.

Fantastic overall package for three classic games. The visuals are amazing and I love the controls and gameplay in these three games. My favorite of the trilogy is Spyro 2 because of Ripto and just having the best overall level design. If you wanna play the classic Spyro games, just play this version.

Spyro 1 remastered is a fun game that harkens back to a simpler time, when gameplay was emphasized over story or cinematics. Some of the levels are surprisingly difficulty for something so PG and cartoonish. Levels are constantly introducing new enemies with different attack mechanics that keep the combat interesting. It's a good formula that gets the basics right, which puts it above most games today.

I can’t get over how they are forcing me to play with super breath on the second game and made it impossible to turn off… how can you call a game remastered when you’ve made it worse?
This one thing has completely and utterly ruined the entire trilogy for me… I’m not having nearly as much fun because I’m frustratedly forced to play like this… PATHETIC!

Playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy felt like stepping into a beautifully polished memory: everything I loved about the original games was still there, just reimagined with so much care and charm. The vibrant worlds, the whimsical characters, and that familiar sense of adventure all came rushing back, but this time with stunning visuals and smooth controls that made everything feel fresh again. What really stood out to me was how faithfully the remaster captured the heart of the originals, It didn’t try to reinvent the wheel, it just made it shinier, more expressive, and more immersive. I found myself grinning at the animations, humming along with the music (which sounds incredible, by the way), and getting completely lost in the colorful landscapes. Each level felt like a tiny world of its own, full of secrets to discover and challenges that struck a perfect balance between relaxing and engaging. And Spyro himself? Still that mischievous little dragon with a big heart, now even more full of personality.Overall, it was a genuinely joyful experience-like revisiting an old friend, only to realize they've grown with you.

A very well made remake of the original three games. The graphics are pretty amazing and well done. If you were a fan of the original games at all, I would highly recommend this.

Fantastic remake, the art redesign is outstanding, it is fluid in everything, great work in the remixes and sound design.
3 historical games for the price of one, with very likeable graphics.
Of course it is still in everything a game of the 90s, so not exacly peak gameplay, but its good enough, good level design and very relaxing.
If you like collectatons you are gonna like this one.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a collection of games that I have been interested in playing for a long time now, as I thought they looked like very fun platformers that are colorful, creative, and an absolute joy to play. I’m going to be honest, though, I didn’t enjoy the sequels as much as I was expecting to. Everyone sings the praises of how great Spyro 2 and 3 are, especially when compared to the first game, and while I can see why so many people love the sequels more, to my surprise, the first game ended up being my favorite, and it’s not even close. While Spyro 2 and 3 do improve upon some things from the original game like having more varied gameplay, better bosses, and more memorable characters, they’re both filled to the brim with annoying tasks, tedious mini-games, and shockingly poorly executed gimmicks. While not all of the mini-games and gimmicks were bad, a good half of them were either annoying to control, frustratingly difficult for no reason, or surprisingly buggy, especially in Spyro 3. I can’t even tell you how many times I had to start over mini-games, and many of them go on much longer than they need to. I’m not saying that Spyro 2 and 3 are bad, because they aren’t, I was just expecting to like them a lot more than I did. Heck, I still like Spyro 2 and I enjoyed myself more with it than I did with Spyro 3. I didn’t even hate Spyro 3, I thought it was an okay game, but I’m let down because I was going in with very high expectations, just to be disappointed by what I got. If I thought Spyro 2 was a little too gimmicky and had some annoying mini-games, man, I was in for a surprise with Spyro 3. While Spyro 1 has lame boss fights, the least memorable characters in the series, and a pretty anti-climatic ending, the overall package had a certain charm to it that I don’t think was replicated with its sequels. The first title didn’t have all of these obnoxious mini-games and annoying gimmicks, it was just pure platforming that was fun the whole way through, even with its flaws. There’s a certain whimsical vibe to the first Spyro that I thought its sequels didn’t encapsulate due to their over-alliance on mini-games and gimmicks, to the point where they don’t even feel like 3D platformers sometimes. If we ever get Spyro 4 in the future, I’m worried that they still won’t be able to capture what made the first game so special while managing to evolve the formula in interesting ways like Crash Bandicoot 4 for example. What worries me is that just like Spyro 2 and 3 in Reignited, they might end up rushing its development, and the game could be littered with bugs that hinder the game's enjoyment, not to mention more backtracking, gimmicks, and mini-games. Maybe if I revisit the Reignited Trilogy in the future and don’t try to 100%/117% the sequels, I will end up enjoying them more, but I found the completionist journey for both games very exhausting, which is something I can’t say about Spyro 1. I do want a Spyro 4 since I genuinely care about this series and have a lot of respect for it, I just hope that fourth game could go back to the series roots and make it more like the first title while managing to have memorable characters, better bosses, and have it stand on its own two feet with brand new mechanics to evolve its formula. Since it probably won’t, though, I at least hope the mini-games, tasks, and gimmicks have much better execution and are a lot more fun. Spyro 1 - 8/10
Spyro 2 - 7/10
Spyro 3 - 6/10

I rarely post reviews, but this game deserves all the praise it can get from gamers. Not only is this is a visually stunning and excellent remake of the classic Spyro, it also allows you to disconnect from everything you have on your mind, which is a rarity these days because it is sooo relaxing and comforting. It's like having a massage on your brain or something.

The first three games have been remade here and boy it looks and sounds glorious! Everything we loved about the first three games have been preserved and made better. The story however is extremely basic, very forgettable despite the characters themselves being memorably quirky. The first and second games are the best with the best soundtrack and worlds. The gameplay is also flawless. The third game has some issues with gameplay and characters. I felt like they went overboard on some of them. Still, the overall package is no doubt worth your money and is a great remake on already great games. Enjoy!

Spyro Reignited Trilogy masterfully revives the beloved original games with stunning visuals and refined controls. The remastered graphics bring Spyro’s vibrant world to life in high definition, while the updated controls ensure smooth gameplay that appeals to both nostalgic fans and newcomers. The trilogy includes all three classic games, offering hours of platforming fun with improved mechanics and a robust collection of collectibles. The inclusion of modern features like save states and a photo mode enhances the experience. The charming voice acting and soundtrack are faithfully preserved, making this a must-play for fans and a perfect introduction for new players.

Que dire de cette trilogie... Juste MAGIQUE !

My over all review of this game after getting all 3 platinum trophies, enjoy the story and if you are not into trophy hunting or just getting started, do NOT do this game. The trophies do get progressively easier with the last game being very easy going on you, but I'm saying right now, if the game made me 100% the last game, I would of been pissed because 15000 gems and 149 eggs is outrageous for a kids game, what do they expect, for a 8 year old to spend 5 hours a day to 100%, But in also saying that, I am ( it may come as a shocker ) above 8 years of age. I will admit, I did get to reviewing this game a bit late so I don't recall the first game but 100% the 2nd game was fairly easy until robotics farms came up. I kid you not I spend over 30 minutes looking for 2 green gems just for them to be in the most obvious place. On another note, The Ripto fight was insufferable because it had three stages with the last one being the worst, and the twin dragon boss fight, but only because it was annoying getting one down to the last inch of health just for it to run away. Overall an amazing story and a mid trophy hunt. 7/10.

This is exactly what I'm looking for in a remaster. Capture the childhood of the original audience while cleaning up the portions of the game/games that haven't aged well. The first three Spyro games are my childhood. This remaster solidifies its as number 9 in my top 10 games

Cette collection comporte Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2 : Ripto’s Rage ! et Spyro : Year of the Dragon.

This game is a perfect game for the whole family. It hits all the notes that made the original games charming and addictive. With three full length, solid titles for the price of one, you can't afford to miss it.

A very nice remaster of three very good games from the original playtation, the gameplay is aging but that's normal for a game which originally dates from the 2000s, not an 8 for me only because the price is a little too high, and the 30 fps cap is not pleasing for a game with so simple graphics

It’s a solid remaster of a classic trilogy. While it’s fun to dive back into the dragon’s scales, it does show its age and gets a bit stale. Still a fun revisit.

Pros - charming environments and characters - relaxing colectathon - Spyro keeps abilities from one game to the other (like ground pound) // Cons - some hitboxes are inconsistent with their visuals - the controls feel dated during swimming, flying and chasing thieves on the track - no option to change FOV caused me some pretty bad motion sickness especially in Spyro 3 // As somebody who did not grow up with these games they were still a very charming and fun experience. Fully completing them was quite fun, sans the flying levels. Definitely would recommend them as a short reprieve to kill time between big releases.

While i personally don't have the nostalgia and this is the first time playing a spyro game, I can absolutely understand why many people consider these classics. They for the most part, hold up as great games with a great gameplay loop, fun and enjoyable characters and spyro himself being adorable.

Having never experienced the original trilogy before, I was intrigued to learn where the dragon got his wings before lending his support to the Skylanders franchise. I'll admit after playing this remake, while I still have a soft spot for Spyro's Adventure, I enjoy this edition of Spyro loads more. The original series wasn't just game breaking for the platforming genre, but it was also responsible for crafting gameplay styles that appealed to all ages. This is a cartoon, fantasy adventure at its finest. It's got gorgeous colors, a good sense of visual humor, and it's inhabited by both adorable and terrifying creatures. It's a great way to release stress by exploring a big open world full of personality and pizazz...though if you're not careful, you may gain stress if you get stuck on an annoying mini game or two. Yeah, this trilogy may not be perfect whether you play the original or the remake. But having access to a three in one game with refined controls, legendary graphics, and catchy music can make your heart soar in the long run.

My score is only 9 because there are occasionally lags and make a little crush, and some of the original voices are missing, but overall, this is a fantastic remake of the game from my youth. Spyro 3 is the first game I've ever played and seen the remaster that Toys for Bob did for the there game. It is perfect from the unique world and enemies, and wonderful soundtracks.

The original games are great and this remake does justice to them…atleast the first two. The third game was extremely buggy in some parts, for example the yeti skating sections are an actual mess (fortunately it’s buggy in favor of the player lol).

Let's start by saying I have only play one Spyro game before this, called: The legend of spyro: The Eternal Night and that game was fine. This one, on the other hand... I don't see how anyone above 6 years old would enjoy this. I like semi-serious games like Ratchet and Clank but this one is simply too childish and thus boring, both in aesthetics and gameplay.

It looks beautiful, although it seems a bit expensive to me, since there are few hours of play, although this saga needed these remasters
