This game basically has nothing in common with past Scribblenauts titles. It's a terrible Mario Party clone, that is all there is to it.

Pros - Multiplayer up to 4 players - Contains sandbox mode like the original Cons - Awful typing controls - Only 25 minigames - Gets boring after a while - Standard Mario Party clone - More fun to watch a YouTuber play it Overall: 3/10

I don't get the hate, sure it's not a traditional scribblenauts game, but that was made very clear from the first trailer, it's a really fun party game to play with friends or family.

I am sending this game to mother base for research and development so I can exterminate this game from existence!

Scribblenauts Showdown is an interesting take on the series. You have your normal freeroaming mode, but the main attraction is the minigames where you create an object, and do various things with it, such as balancing multiple giraffes on a flying carpet, or having a competition to see who can eat a pair of socks the fastest. The only downside to this game is the price. 40$ is just way too much for something you'll probably only play when you're hanging out with friends, since the singleplayer mode is so unoriginal and unfun.

What makes me laugh is that TheTrueMarioFan and myself have predicted that the game was going to ****. The game is lame and the main gimmick of writing stuff is being **** on with the horrendous gameplay. If you have a very unique formula, don't try to change it. This game is the WORST idea any developer ever had.

I truly TRULY do not get the hate of this game. I am in my 40's. Played with 2 boys, 10 and 12. And we all had an amazing time playing the board game version of this for an hour. When it was over, the boys said, LETS PLAY IT AGAIN! The game is deep. Also has original sandbox mode with new levels. When they were about to leave, I surprise them by giving them the game as a gift. They were SO excited (and, I will simply buy another one for myself) I am simply BAFFLED at the hate and negativity for this game. Sure, a couple of the mini-games are not top notch. But there are many great ones within. At $40, solid deal. At $20 sale in most places, you have got to be kidding me. Steal it at that price. If you like Scribblenauts or are new to the Scribblenauts world, just buy it.

Scribblenauts 1 sold me a Nintendo DS. it wasn't perfect, but the use of basically ANYTHING you could think of made the game unique and fantastic for people who wanted to use their brain to solve even the simpler puzzle with the most overcomplicated and original solution in the world. Super Scribblenauts was simply amazing, and Unlimited just the way to follow and improve. The moment the game was affected by bigger companies, it went to **** And here we are, with WB using a completely unknown and mis-related company to create a soulless, unfun, betraying piece of garbage nobody should support. Please, if you ever see someone try to get this game even for his little kid, try to convince that person of the heavy punishment this game deserves. It may have killed the franchise; one that I particularly loved for years. It's embarrassing, insulting and I can't express enough hate to this kind of disgusting product.
