S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Broken. Absolutely and utterly broken. Not the game, oh no, it's my fragile nerves that have been shattered. Adrenalin is still coursing through my veins as I type, and what's more, I absolutely love it. STALKER is a thoroughly affecting game, and it's got me by the short hairs. [Apr 2007, p.56]

The atmosphere of the game is so thick that you can cut it...Even though it all ends kind of sudden[ly], S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is still one of the best First Person Shooters I’ve played in a long time, especially if you like the post-apocalyptic atmosphere from games like "Fallout."

The game starts off a tad bit slow, but once you are engrossed in the story nothing is quite like it (except a movie that is a tad bit similar to this game). I will be returning to this game once some more mods come out and when the vehicle mod is perfected.

It's certainly a little rough around the edges, but spend a little time delving deeper into the 'Zone' and you'll find you've chiseled away at a beauty.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl has arguably one of the most engrossing game environments ever, but it is annoyingly railroaded by tight fencing-in. Also, the constantly respawning enemies are annoying and take away the feeling of free exploration. Luckily, the great end-of-the-world atmosphere keeps the player interested till the very end. Атмосфера, атмосфера и ещё раз атмосфера! Любимая часть сталкера из трилогии. Сколько раз менял трусы из-за резко высковчишего снорка, страшно представить. Для своего года, игра буквально - алмаз. Геймплей, озвучка, много пушек, артефактики, костюмы, нычки, группировки, мутанты, даже сейчас ванильный сталкер играеться отлично. Но сюжет писали явно не на трезвую голову. Стрелок ≠ меченый.

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl is not a game for everyone. It is clumsy, tough, and sometimes unfair. It has a learning curve that looks like a vertical wall covered in nails, an engine that breaks if you look at it wrong, and a story that, if you blink, slips away **** at the same time... it has something. An incomparable atmosphere, a fierce personality, and a way of trapping you without you realizing it. The Zone is not just a setting: it is a place you feel in your skin. It makes you move forward with fear, curiosity, and distrust. And when it ends, it leaves you with a strange void, as if you had experienced something more than just a **** is a rough, experimental, and flawed game, but also authentic, atmospheric, and ahead of its time. A cult classic in every sense of the word... and with all its bugs.

The game is already extremely in the years unfortunately. Gameplay is not so good and sometimes dies immediately because of a hit!? Graphics you can of course expect nothing but the story is quite nice. The game has strong problems at 4K resolution. Fonts are much too small and the graphics card permanently stews at 90° Celsius, which is very questionable for a 16 year old game.

Катсцены довольно-таки кинематографичные. Геймплей хардкорный. Враги никак не реагируют на выстрелы, а ГГ погибает от пары попаданий. Анимации рваные. Интерфейс неудобный. Зачастую при диалогах npc просто молчат. Открытый мир и РПГ элементы не очень идут играм того времени. Игра устарела. В наше время играть неинтересно.
