Improves on GSC's winning formula, ensuring STALKER is still the de facto hardcore FPS RPG. [Issue#30, p.50]

Call of Pripyat is one of those game that people just seem to miss. It’s incredibly moody and an intents experience. S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat is what Shadow of Chernobyl should have been.

I’m very satisfied with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. The atmosphere is strong, the Zone feels immersive, and the gameplay is tense and rewarding. Exploration, survival elements, and freedom of choice make the experience enjoyable, even if the game has its flaws. It’s not one of the best games ever, but it’s a solid and memorable experience, especially for fans of slow, atmospheric shooters.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat – A Flawless Conclusion to the TrilogySTALKER: Call of Pripyat is the perfect culmination of the STALKER trilogy, taking everything fans loved about the previous games and refining it to near perfection. It’s a game that truly elevates the series to new heights, delivering a polished, immersive experience that remains as gripping today as it was upon **** after the events of Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky, Call of Pripyat focuses on the aftermath of the failed military operation in the Zone and the mysterious disappearance of helicopters. The game's narrative, though understated, does a fantastic job of tying up loose ends while introducing new questions and mysteries. The quest to uncover the truth behind the helicopters, alongside the search for a way to control the Zone’s anomalies, provides a compelling backbone to the **** real highlight of Call of Pripyat is its open-world design. The game introduces the vast, atmospheric area of Pripyat and its surrounding locations, including dense forests, eerie industrial zones, and the haunting city of Pripyat itself. These environments are more detailed than ever, with each area feeling distinct, alive, and full of stories waiting to be discovered. The map is expansive, but the pacing is spot on, with a perfect balance of exploration, combat, and quiet moments of tension.Gameplay-wise, Call of Pripyat is a significant improvement over its predecessors. The combat is smoother and more responsive, and the new A-Life system allows for more dynamic and unpredictable encounters with both humans and mutants. The addition of new weapons and equipment, along with improved AI, keeps things exciting, while the more streamlined inventory and upgrade systems make managing your gear easier and more **** of the game’s most notable features is the improved faction dynamics and the absence of the faction wars from Clear Sky, which gives the player more freedom to explore the Zone without worrying about constant faction conflicts. Instead, Call of Pripyat lets you focus on surviving the dangerous world and uncovering its secrets, all while dealing with mutants, anomalies, and environmental **** atmosphere, as always, is exceptional. The haunting sound design and immersive weather effects (including the iconic electrical storms) contribute to the feeling of tension and isolation, making every step through the Zone feel like a calculated risk. The eerie silence of the Pripyat landscape, coupled with the distant roars of mutants or the crackle of anomalies, creates an unforgettable mood that lingers long after you put the game **** conclusion, STALKER: Call of Pripyat is a brilliant finale to the trilogy, refining everything that made the series great and delivering an experience that is both haunting and exhilarating. The world is more alive than ever, the gameplay more polished, and the narrative both satisfying and mysterious. For fans of the series or newcomers to the Zone, it’s a must-play that solidifies STALKER as one of the most unique and atmospheric franchises in gaming.

Though it's not quite as surprising as the original, it's still a standout game that deserves to be given a chance by anyone that reads this.

Call of Pripyat is definitely the best STALKER game yet. It's a much tighter package, but for a budget title there is still a hell of a lot to do and The Zone still seems intent on killing you or scaring you senseless.

Explore the Zone, find the artifact and evade the bullet. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is back, better than ever before.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat is in some way the best game in the series. The world is big and the world is more living than ever. Fans will love it, but for newcomers Call of Pripyat might be a bit too dated and inaccessible.

GSC’s third attempt at creating a post-apocalyptic world reinforced my belief that PR is the only thing this company does best.
