While I agree that students don't have to be coddled and rewarded for every lame attempt they make, neither should they be continually punished. The game forces them into a mode of learning that is definitely not nurturing.

My mother didn't like me quitting the piano because I didn’t find it fun anymore, but Rhythm ‘N Notes commits a far worse offense. It takes the joy of music and turns it down to a mute.
