Rev 1 is better than it was on the 3DS, and REV 2, even with its issues is a huge jump in quality compared to the Vita release. I’d love to see more Resident Evil games on the Switch so this seems like a no brainer. It’s a bit disappointing they couldn’t put both games on the cartridge, requiring Rev 2 to be downloaded separately, but it is what it is, and more Resident Evil is never a bad thing in my eyes.

If you haven’t played the Revelations games before, this is a great way to do such. Switch-specific features, solid gameplay, good graphics, and fun online are the highlights of this collection, and being able to play them anywhere is a great convenience.

These are the perfect RE games to play on the Switch, with fantastic motion controls and a whole host of cracking DLC to boot.

Resident Evil Revelations Collection bundles two of the better entries in the long-running survival horror series. The first game is hit-or-miss but the sequel is legitimately great, and the added portability and motion controls make the Switch port the definitive versions of these two games.

Besides including all of its previously released content, Resident Evil: Revelations Collections lacks of an interesting cooperative mode or special features for the Nintendo Switch. It's a good addition for the library, just not great.

This is a full fat Resident Evil experience with a neat partner system and some terrifyingly tense set pieces. There's a strong case to be made that you should ignore the original (especially if you've played it already) and simply purchase this prime slab of survival horror, but completionists won't be disappointed either way.

These are undoubtedly two of the best chapters of the Capcom saga in recent times, which - thanks to Switch's portability - receive even new lifeblood: now evil can in fact accompany us wherever we go.

If you're looking to expand your horizons or simply get your start in the horror genre on your shiny new handheld, you could do way worse than this double shot of high-octane zombified horror game. It's not the classic Resident Evil adventure you may remember from your original PlayStation or GameCube endeavors, but it's certainly a worthy buy, motion control issues and all.

Capcom released a solid porting of the original Resident Evil: Revelations and its sequel for Nintendo Switch. If you haven't already played them, this is a nice chance to return in the world of survival horror in its most classic style.
