OTXO
OTXO kept me roped in for nearly 25 hours- so on the whole? I’d say I had a good time.
OTXO is a must-play title for fans of movies like John Wick who love tons of action and violence. With great pixelated graphics, a huge assortment of weapons to use, and mysteries to solve, OTXO has a huge amount of replayability!
OTXO blends Roguelike elements and Hotline Miami to create a beautiful bloodbath that just feels great to play.

Very thrilling and very exciting top down shooter. The story is very light as expected and frankly the final boss was incredibly easy as i beat em on the first try compared to other bosses like the spartan dude who was my biggest obstacle. All the same i liked how the game rolled out its story and i liked the bar method of how to upgrade yourself and the RNG mechanics worked well **** game did a great job introducing new enemies and making them far more dangerous as the run progresses without just simply boosting their health and damage but by increasing their fire rate and aggressive/ pack mindset making getting through just the opening area feel like something you can easily mess up and die from.I would say my main issue with the game is how you unlock new weapons. Having to luck into finding the coin slot machines and having the money to use them anyways happens to infrequently and costs to much especially when most of what you get are "collectables" that are useless to you in **** it is nice that you can pick and choose what guns enemies will be able to use while also therefore limiting yourself. Its a nice trade off which i did use my self personally

A fast paced top down shooter roguelite, inspired by Midnight Animal and the Hotline Miami series. It's addictive, it's unique, it's fun. And don't get me started on the soundtrack.

The Games Machine
Otxo is violent and frenetic, but it is not a game where you simply have to pull the trigger, as bullet time management is crucial. The roguelike component is not very developed and the game could be better with a progression system, anyway it’s an absolutely recommended buy.

OXTO scratches a roguelite itch I’ve been wishing to scratch for quite some time. Its difficult top-down gameplay is made mildly less punishing by a slow-mo Focus mode, selection of guns, and wide variety of ability upgrades. Each attempt at playing Oxto feels unique, addicting, and fun, and I can confidently say that no two runs were predictable. Despite the lack of permanent upgrades, inconsistent storytelling, and some visual busyness when enemy density is at its greatest, OXTO is an absolute treat for those looking for precise gameplay in a roguelite experience. And it has a fantastic soundtrack, to boot. If you’re wanting a new roguelite for your Steam library, look no further than OXTO; you won’t regret it.

The sound design is the most interesting part of the title’s presentation. All weapons sound weighty and the chorus of multiple types firing at once makes every encounter feel deadly. The soundtrack is also very good, keeping the tension up and pushing players to move fast and kill efficiently.

Hey Poor Player
If you’re a fan of Hotline Miami and roguelites, you owe it to yourself to add OTXO to your Steam library. While it’s true the busy visuals can occasionally lead to some frustrating deaths and the soundtrack repeats itself a bit too often, these minor gripes are easy to overlook when you consider just how much the game does right. Offering punchy and gratifying combat, a meaty challenge, and an addicting progression system that makes each loop feel fresh and exciting as you experiment with its engrossing perk system, OTXO will kick your ass and leave you begging for more.

OTXO puts a roguelike spin on the familiar Hotline Miami murderfest formula, but it doesn't quite nail the landing. While moment-to-moment combat is fast and flashy and unforgiving, there isn't enough care put into the roguelike structure of the experience to make new runs feel justified or exciting.
