Order & Chaos Online
Order & Chaos is a novel, interesting, and intriguing application. Being a truly fully-fledged MMORPG on the iPad makes it very endearing to a goblin-loving veteran such as I, but there are some glaring problems with the game to overlook before you can truly enjoy it. A WoW clone until the end, but for the price of admission, and the amount of "I Can't Believe It's Not Azeroth" fun you can have, you might just forgive it.
There's no question that Order & Chaos Online is a remarkable – albeit cheeky - achievement for the mobile gaming scene. You shouldn't buy it because it's an outstanding game (it's not - at least not yet), or because you'll receive an experience on a par with it's clear inspiration (you won't). While it's certainly a thrilling ride in the short-term, longer-term it will simply leave you pining for WOW itself.

Order & Chaos Online is not yet perfect but in its current form is already a mature MMORPG not very different from what World of Warcraft had to offer on the day it came out. Which is even a bit scary considering that consoles are still waiting for a game like this and on PCs Blizzard's masterpiece doesn't have a really worthy competition. [July 2011, p.69]

This is one of two MMORPGs on mobile devices; the other being the inferior, downright cartoony Pocket Legends. It it disgusting that this game should have such a low User Score, and all because people can't get over the fact that it's similar to World of Warcraft. That's like bashing every platformer ever because they were all similar to Jumpman (original Mario) or every single RPG ever because they copied Zork or Rogue or whatever the first dungeon crawler even was. It's disappointing that this game has recently evolved into a P2W (pay to win) model. While it's not outrageously difficult to max your character's combat level, levelling crafting is another story entirely, which can take dozens of hours of gathering material just to be able to craft epic gear. Those who are wealthy in real life don't have this issue, as they can straight-up buy gold and epic gear from the "lucky wheel" or whatever it is. Mounts, something loyal players have been waiting for since the beginning can only be obtained with real money, unless you get lucky enough with a Bind Stone (5% chance of trapping a creature) which currently costs 1 gold (equivalent to $1). The fact that it's a F2P game with no areas or races needing to be bought more than makes up for this fact, and this is an MMO superior to many really bad PC ones.

The game itself, though far from original, is surprisingly fun and the graphics are nothing short of amazing considering the devices it runs on. The only real problem holding this thing back is the sub-par customer service.

Order & Chaos Online is an impressive and immersive MMO that Gameloft have somehow managed to squeeze on to a tiny iOS device. Its popularity is testament to the game's ability to bring a fully fledged online adventure successfully on to Apple's platform.

Moment for moment, this is simply World of Warcraft with a different world to explore, perfectly optimized for the touch screen, and a few elements left on the cutting room floor. As a Warcraft fan, I can honestly say that this lack of originality is more than appreciated. If you're going to steal, steal from the best.

A full-blown MMO for your iOS device. It won't topple World of Warcraft from the throne, but it's more than enough to satisfy fans of the genre. Gameloft has raised the bar for what's possible in mobile online gaming.

The game is nearly a copy of World of Warcraft with several problems with the interface and the balance of the gameplay. Other than this it is the first real 3D MMORPG for iOS, it's very funny to play and the game world is extremely big.

Order and Chaos Online collects all the basics of heroic-fantasy MMORPG and brings them to iPhone. Technically and graphically very impressive, the game suffers from the need of a wifi connection to play and a lack of high level content like dungeons and real PVP. If Gameloft can quickly and regularly bring new content to the game, the iPhone will have its "World of Warcraft".

Gameloft's mobile imitation of World of Warcraft is an impressive technical and artistic feat, but there's still a bit more work to do before it reaches its full potential.

I would just like to start by saying please disregard Havok's rating. This is a great game, and the first MMORPG on iOS that has really consumed quite a bit of my time. I understand where Havok is coming from, but that is not reason to rate this game a '0'. It is people like him that totally screw up game ratings for the rest of us. There is no other game like this on iOS, and while it is essentially a port of WoW, they did so successfully and I've been enjoying the game quite a bit since release. My guess is Havok is a WoW fanboy and an apple hater. No one wanted to bring a game like WoW or WoW to iOS so the devs at gameloft decided to do it. That being said, this game is a lot of fun and as there has been a drought in MMORPGs for iPhone and iPad, this is and will be a great success, assuming content and updates continue (we shall see). The controls take a little while to get used to (I'm using iPad 2), but it's not too terrible. Takes a bit of self-teaching as the tutorial isn't too extensive, but it shouldn't be overly difficult to pick up for those who have played similar games, or extremely similar games such as WoW. For $7 (includes 3 months free) and a max of $0.99 per month (discounts if purchasing multiple months), this game is a must-buy for MMORPG lovers.

Fantastic game! Though it may be a copy of World of Warcraft, who cares? This is the first MMORPG on iOS and its great. Gameplay is very nice, there are enough quests (with some of them actually a little story line), enough items and monsters/enemy's, great graphics for iPhone (though small render distance) and sound is pretty good. Servers seem to be pretty stable, though sometimes I occur some lag. This game is really worth your money!

Game reviewers continue to reward Gameloft for outright theft. Where are your ethics as a so-called journalist? Do you have no morals? Sure the games are fun! That is why they ripped them off in the first place. So all I have to do is copy a game, put a new but similar title on it and I get paid and receive excellent reviews for my dishonesty? Good to know.
