Omen Exitio: Hunger is, at its core, a visual novel that delivers a decent horror story with meaningful choices that can significantly shape the narrative. Its Lovecraftian inspiration is unmistakable, though its prose never quite reaches the heights of the works that inspired it. At around 15 hours, the pacing occasionally drags, making the experience feel longer than necessary. Even so, it remains an enjoyable companion for a quiet night of gaming and -mainly- reading. Just don't expect it to keep you on the edge of your seat throughout.
