NTE is an Interesting gacha game, it has a very friendly gacha system for people who have never played a gacha game. The game also has character interactions which attempt to make the world feel more alive. However, the writing of the story is appalling especially in 1.2. The personality of the main character esper zero falls flat. Esper zero feels more like a side character rather than a main character and the direction in the English voice needs major improvement. Although I wanted to like this game the story is definitely one of the aspects about the game that needs major improvement in the future

I'm about 30 hours in and I do feel a bit disappointed with this game. I can't help but think it would have been much better as a fleshed out open world full priced AAA game. Personally I would have been willing to pay full price for it and bought the future missions and characters as one off cost expansions. There's a lot of padding between the main missions and even some between the side and character missions. I do like that each main mission is structured like a self contained anime episode, although 5 "episodes" in and it's clear that it doesn't have a well written plot or a clear plot goal yet. The menu system with a controller is terrible, It uses a weird system of having separate actions for both the dpad and the analogue stick. Sometimes X selects objects, sometimes it's circle or even square. Sometimes exiting a menu that it took you 2-3 diffrent menus to get into takes our out of all menus that you went through to get into this specific menu instead of just going back one step. Locking onto items in the map is so bad it's pure luck if you can get some of the icons at all. It's all fixable but man is it weird that not only did it launch like this but 3 months latter it's still an issue. There's also a lot of bugs in this game, like menus failing to appear and cameras getting locked in place. I've had to reset the game several times during my playtime. It also suffers from the flaws of all gattcha games, introduce a character, short story segment, have players pull for them, never hear from that character again. There's potential here but it feels like they rushed it out the door, add in gottcha game fatigue and I can see a lot of people dropping this.

The game is really good but I think it's too short I finished it in two hours. I know it was only version 1.1, but it would be better if they added more quests in updates.(I have like 91hours)

Hi. I've been playing for more than 48 hours total. Honestly? Despite being at v1.1 only, this game is so much more playable than anything I've played recently. I haven't had any problems with this game since launch, and haven't had to spend money either. Yes, it can get boring. But, it's open world. That's not for everybody, but it is for me.
Highly recommend <3

Its a gatcha game in a city, the combat gives me a headache and the dodge window is massive and easy... boring and not really that fun. Way too many combinations of anime genres and concepts in one game... characters just appear through the game so character development is weak... all the characters are baked, which is also boring for character progression. Overall too much purple. 4/10 being generous

It's one of the best gacha games I played. It's more gener
It looks beautiful, the story is good, the setting is good with the anomalies there is a lot of thing that can happen.
The gacha system is much fairer to f2p players like other games. I played like 20+ hours already.

This is just some odd free2play game that is hard to enjoy after getting through the initial introduction phase. I can see how there is probably a crowd for this game but that doesn't seem to be me. I came to check out the open world and driving and it's just really boring, the car physics are very weak, vehicles generally move slow, and there is no real collision with other cars, and characters and cars just sort of appear in front of you out of nowhere. You can't really mess around with the game and if you do you will get the attention of law enforcement that will throw you in a prison where you need to spend days of game time just hanging out in a cell. The combat is probably the highlight here and it's just your basic real time 3'rd person action/RPG sort of experience. The visuals are nice for that anime cartoony graphics but overall I just couldn't stay interested when I have so many better games to play. It's definitely the type of game that seems to demand large time investment to really get anywhere or for you to spend money to get things. Can't recommend this unless you're a big fan of it's style of combat.

as a gacha game its pretty good the combat feels fast and flashy also the moves look good , the character design it cool and they are pretty . however outside of combat the game is **** boring the same **** races and deliveries the only fun thing is the pink paws hiest . fons are stupid grindy and for what ? stupid cars for the same said races . the apartments are stupid blowing millions a time for silly furniture stats the dont really matter apart from the extra pixels and realm of greed ...
i do like the game even though this rant may seem other wise im just disappointed and am hoping anata comes soon

A very good game! I've been playing games like Genshin, GTA, Honkai and more for years now and this game nicely touches on all areas of those games. The play style is very nice and the graphics are great! The game loads fast and is overall great with the story, playstyle, voice acting and has a lot more to it! The game is still quite new and I look forward to seeing how it progresses Issues:
However, my only issue with it is that it seems there are some bugs when playing on console.
You have to go out and back into your phone a lot to press different things in an one of the apps. My friend who also plays the game but on PC doesn't have this issue. The game also seems to bug out a little (rarely but it does happen more than you'd like) and you have to either wait a minute or two or leave the game completely. It loads fast so it's not too much of a bother and as I said the game is pretty great in my opinion, but the few bugs are worth noting. The game is still relatively new and for who great it is and how much it has to offer and personally don't mind and the bugs dont interfere with anything major.

It’s constantly crashing. It even leads to complete PC crashes and power loss of my graphics card (RTX 5070 Ti). Not risking my hardware and uninstalled the game. A bit sad because the game itself was quite fun.

A mediocre gacha experience fueled by AI-generated assets. Another low-effort cash grab from the creators of the equally poorly developed Tower of Fantasy.

i love this game, also due to the fact that it is free!
The graphics, city, tasks, characters, houses and all the other things are rlly awesome.
However, since i play on PS5, the game some times glitches and "kills" the ps5.
also some of the anomally commissions are rlly hard and i cant skip them, which is the only downside of this game

It looks nice, but that's the only positive I can give. The dialogue is clunky, the battle system is boring and the characters cannot walk or drive in a straight line. You can be mid mission and if you walk too close to another mission it overwrites what you're doing, but only to the point of completely locking you out of both missions until you restart the game. This game was NOT ready to be released. I really wanted to like it, but man is it bad.

I like the open world. It's like yourname or suzume anime. But i dont like live service games. And this game isn't so good that I want to play it every day. The driving is terrible. It's like driving a tank not car.

Hair-split. The character have the hideous, idiotic hair split that is now a mihoyo trademark. They copied the worst design trope EVER. Also, there's furries. Awful. This is another predatory gacha game with horrendous art direction, avoid it like the plague.

The game does look gorgeous thanks to Unreal Engine 5 and I'd say this is a new evolution for open world gacha games. Driving around a detailed city is fun.
My issue remains the over-the-top silly nature of the story and characters. Taygedo is especially annoying. His dialogue got old after the first 30 seconds.
The menu system is an absolute mess.
If someone could just make a game without 40 cat characters, all of the sillyness and actually made us care about the characters... I've been playing gacha games for a long time now and nothing has drawn me in yet story-wise and character developement wise. It may just not be possible with the gacha formula where you want people invested but not TOO invested enough to be satisfied with the free-to-play experience alone.
I really wanted to like this one but the character interactions really bring it down. You CAN make an anime game that doesn't rely on high pitched squeals from little cat girls... make me care by giving us some relatable content.

Neverness to Everness opens with a familiar setup: a mysterious attack, a team of stylized heroes, and immediate combat. While this structure is common in modern RPGs, the execution here struggles to create any meaningful engagement. The game throws players into action before establishing emotional stakes, resulting in a lack of intrinsic motivation. You are fighting, but you don’t yet know why you should care. This issue extends into the game’s worldbuilding. The lore suggests that the world is “new” and culturally undeveloped, but what is shown contradicts this idea. Instead of a believable, evolving society, the game presents a disjointed mix of elements: highly stylized, exaggerated protagonists coexist with grounded, almost mundane NPCs. The tonal gap is striking. Heroes behave like over-the-top anime archetypes, while the general population feels subdued and detached, creating a sense that these characters do not belong to the same **** narrative framing of anomalies further highlights this inconsistency. They are treated as both central and longstanding phenomena, yet the world shows little sign of adapting to their presence. Architecture, culture, and daily life appear largely unaffected. Even symbolic elements, like the antique shop used as a metaphorical anchor for anomalies, feel conceptually mismatched. If anomalies are common, framing them as something rare or “antique” undermines internal logic.Gameplay does little to compensate for these issues. The combat system is serviceable but lacks depth. Team composition offers minimal room for experimentation, and there is little incentive for theorycrafting. Compared to similar titles, it feels stripped down, with only basic buff interactions and limited mechanical complexity.Movement is another weak point. Traversal feels sluggish and imprecise, with noticeable delays in character responsiveness. Climbing and parkour mechanics are frequently interrupted by minor environmental inconsistencies, breaking any sense of flow. The game seems to aim for fluid, freeform movement, but its systems do not support that ambition. The result is frustration rather than empowerment.Side activities, such as racing, suffer from similar problems. Controls feel unrefined, and the lack of customization or progression systems removes any long-term appeal. These features come across as underdeveloped additions rather than meaningful gameplay **** gacha system, while statistically reasonable on paper, is presented in a way that feels unintuitive and unrewarding. The board-game-style mechanic obscures actual probabilities, making outcomes feel more random and less controlled than they likely are. This disconnect between perception and reality diminishes player trust and satisfaction.Ultimately, Neverness to Everness struggles not because of one major flaw, but because multiple systems fail to reinforce each other. The combat lacks depth, the world lacks cohesion, and the presentation lacks impact. While there is potential in its foundation, the current experience feels unfocused and **** players hoping the game improves significantly after the opening hours, it is worth noting that these early impressions are likely representative of the overall design philosophy. Incremental improvements may occur, but the core experience is unlikely to transform in a fundamental way.

NTE is awful, it's cheesy, horrible characters are annoying, the gatcha mechanics are terrible, I mean what even is gatcha, the fighting is generic and boring, you can tell it's a japanese game, it is just awful.

The PS5 port of this game is a technical embarrassment that fails on every level. Despite the hardware’s power, the performance optimization is abysmal, riddled with frame drops and game-breaking bugs that ruin any sense of immersion. The character models are eyesores, the combat is a generic, outdated chore, and the driving physics are laughably bad. What’s most disappointing is the hollow, lifeless city; instead of showcasing a vibrant, authentic Chinese urban landscape, it settles for a cliché, derivative imitation of a Japanese city that feels utterly soul-less. It’s a broken, uninspired mess that has no business being on a next-gen console.

Yet another uninteresting "fake Japan, Shibuya" setting from a China game. There are so many more interesting things they could have done with their own cities like the multi-layered **** or a futuristic city like Shenzhen. This game is just more copy-paste trash from China trying hard to please Japanese audiences.

Really solid combat, awesome graphics, and fair gacha system. I've been playing NTE since launch, and it's been a great experience so far. The combat feels very, very good; it's super smooth, and the animations are honestly excellent quality. Another big plus is the summoning system; not having the 50/50 mechanic makes the game feel much fairer than others in the genre. In terms of progression, earning currency feels a bit slow at the start, but it’s acceptable once you get moving. The city looks great, and the driving is fun, with the DualSense features nicely complementing the overall experience. On PS5, you might see some frame drops in busy areas, and the "Anomalies" can get a bit repetitive after a while, but overall, it’s a very solid game. Definitely worth checking out.

This is one of the amazing open world games ever!
It merged with Genshin Impact with GTA style mechanics where you have a variety of things to do like street racing, fishing, mahjong, jobs and more!
Cute lookin characters and impressive storytelling where Genshin veterans might get their hand on!

As a four-year veteran of Genshin Impact and an active player of Arknights: Endfield, I approached the release of Neverness to Everness (NTE) with high expectations that, unfortunately, were not met. My experience was marred from the outset by significant technical instability; immediately upon launching the game, I encountered a critical bug where the user interface froze entirely during what should have been an opening cutscene. This lack of initial polish raises serious questions regarding the game’s quality assurance on the PlayStation 5. Furthermore, the integration of the DualSense controller features feels unrefined. While operating vehicles, the adaptive triggers produce a jarring mechanical sound and an abrupt blocking sensation that feels more like a hardware error than a deliberate immersion tactic. From a design standpoint, I find the absence of distinct 3D weapon models disappointing. Relying on "disks" for combat—a system reminiscent of Zenless Zone Zero—is a stylistic choice that lacks the visual impact I prefer. The world building also suffers from a lack of asset variety, exemplified by the extremely limited selection of only four vehicle models, which quickly makes the city feel repetitive. Movement mechanics are equally underwhelming; even when utilizing the "Rush" mode, the character’s travel speed feels sluggish and unresponsive. This is compounded by excessive visual noise generated by the "anomalies" system, which clutters the screen and distracts from the gameplay. Ultimately, NTE lacks the "chill" and philosophical atmosphere I look for in an immersive title, and the character designs failed to leave a lasting impression. Given these factors, I do not plan to continue playing what has been a surprisingly disappointing release. My hopes now rest on Ananta to properly deliver the "Anime GTA" experience that this title failed to provide.

NTE is a painfully shallow Gacha game that tries (and fails) to oversell itself by being "GTA, but with an anime aesthetic". The game play is boring, the driving mechanics aren't well executed, and the art style is one you've seen millions of times, to the point where it feels very sterile and uninteresting (and that's coming from someone who usually plays games with an anime aesthetic). Character design is also very generic, not aided by dull personalities. If you've played one action Gacha game with an anime aesthetic, you already know what to expect with NTE. Skip this game, and don't even download it to your console. Edited May 4th: NTE uses generative AI for "artwork" inside the game. If this is supposedly a company that makes millions, why are they skimping out on background assets with sloppy plagiarism? I hated NTE before discovering the generative AI, but now I absolutely despise it.

So, I played Genshin, HSR, ZZZ and Arknights Endfield. Neither managed to be so gripping and charming that I played this 6 hours straight and even was in awe of the open world in some areas. Solid gameplay completes the package. This is a different kind of AAA gacha und the best looking one for sure.

I was hyped for this game as ads presented slogan "When gta meets anime" and that was dream comes true.
Open world and map are nice but other than that Gameplay is boring, combat is pushing two buttons and lack of character customization makes me sad.
Most of the game feels like copy paste reskin of other gatcha games like 7 Sins without anything to makes it stand out.
Menus, 100 types of exchange items and 75 diffrent progression bars gives me a stroke.
I feel like this is a game that could be 7/10 if developer would not try to make it live service for god knows what reason. Now it feels like one team was making MMO and other one was making single player and they saw it last minute.
If you have 2-3h to kill and nothing to do you can give it a shot but its not anything to write home about.

Nice, colorful world that feels alive. Combat is straight forward and does the job. I'm not the biggest Gacha gamer but the mechanics are fairly straight forward. There is A LOT of Gacha "stuff" going on in the menus and it feels like everything you do in the game offers some form of reward.
The story is quirky, and character models are nice.
The game world has definitely drawn me in and this might be one F2P model I will support with RL money purchases.
A colorful little timesink.

I'm loving this game, what a graphics! Everything looks like a dream, the world is beautiful! The characters of course are amazing (hehe). I'm having so much fun on it, and until now have not spend any money to enjoy it. Fantastic job
