The second Nioh is more than just a continuation of the legacy. The authors have been able to learn from the mistakes of the first game, and thanks to that this is an excellent action RPG that will not let you rest and you will want to keep playing. [Issue#303]
I love a great third-person actioner, and I’m hard-pressed to think of one that nails the formula as perfectly as Nioh 2 does. The systems are pleasantly crunchy and there are a ton to dig into, the moment-to-moment fights get my blood pumping, and the artwork and theming are all spot-on. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing, but Nioh 2 is exactly the right amount.
Nioh 2 does what a good sequel should. It capitalizes on the best parts of its predecessors while providing new content and mechanics to advance the franchise. While the story structure and level design are largely the same, added weapons, more build depth, and new combat mechanics all enhance what the game has to offer. It doesn't always hit the mark perfectly, but it's a solid addition to the series. And let's face it, being a samurai is awesome.

I am new to Nioh 2 and have played this game for the past week. First off the game is very overwhelming for any new player at the start. After only a short tutorial you are thrown in the deep end. Any enemy (and there is a lot to contend with here) kills you in 2 hits. Also how are you supposed to kill your first Yoki at such a low level? And it gets worse with the end boss. I ended up wasting several hours on the first mission. Note the achievements show only 41% of players ever managed to get off the first mission. That is down to terrible game design not skill. Be warned that this game is brutal. Every boss except for one is a battle of attrition early on. The battles go on for such a long time because your low damage early and their huge health bars. It's not fun at all and just ends up being a grind. You end up getting through one tough boss only to find the next ones probably worse. The AI revenants are no help at all either and usually just get killed under a minute. Regardless of what weapons and build you use you will end up having to use magic and ninjitsu just to get through the game. Level design is also poor and there is very little variation. Many of the side missions are copied and pasted maps from main missions. Most of the bosses also make a second appearance. There is very little motivation to keep on playing and it becomes tiring. That said the graphics are very good though. But after playing this I won't be bothering with Nioh 3 either.

Amazing combat with a wide variety of builds, and there is a weapon for everyone’s taste. I suggest trying everything because of the gameplay variety. There are potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay. The tough bosses and enemies are just perfect. My only complaint would be the art direction, because almost every map is burning and similar with medicore graphics also, the random item drops feel like an MMO, dont need it. But of course, gameplay matters most, and it is near perfect

Outside of games made by FromSoftware, Nioh 2 is easily one of my favorite Souls-like experiences ever. If FromSoftware is the undisputed king of brutally challenging action RPGs, then Team Ninja is right behind them — and Nioh 2 is the proof. This game is all about the gameplay loop, and that loop is addicting as hell. The combat is deep, fast, technical, and endlessly rewarding. Stances, weapon types, yokai abilities, builds — there’s always something to master, something to optimize, something to grind for. And that grind? I loved every second of it. Chasing better loot, refining builds, squeezing every ounce of power out of your character — this game feeds that part of your brain. The multiplayer deserves special praise. Playing online with other people, running missions together, experimenting with builds, helping each other through brutal encounters — it added hundreds of hours to my experience. This is the kind of game where co-op doesn’t just exist, it enhances everything. The story? Honestly… it’s better than people give it credit for. You’re obviously not here for some deep, cinematic narrative — this isn’t that kind of game — but for what it is, the story works. It gives the world context, flavor, and just enough motivation to keep things moving. It never got in the way, and at times, it genuinely surprised me. I put hundreds of hours into Nioh 2. Played every DLC. Got the platinum trophy. And I didn’t stop because I got bored — not even close. If I had to guess, it was probably another game dropping, or just real life doing what real life does: work, kids, responsibilities. That’s the only reason I stepped away. If you haven’t played Nioh 2 yet? It’s still an excellent game. Full stop. I can’t really speak on how active the servers are in 2026 lol, but even solo, the experience holds up. And with Nioh 3 weeks away if you able to just pick that up instead. My expectations are sky-high. If Nioh 3 is even remotely close to Nioh 2 in quality, then we’re talking about another absolute banger. So here’s the honest take: Nioh 2 WAS a must-buy It’s still a fantastic game today Nioh 2 stands tall as one of the best non-FromSoftware Souls-likes ever made — andO cant wait for Nioh 3

Nioh 2 takes the formula laid out by other soulslike games and manages to improve it at almost every turn. The game is both uniquely challenging and while still having the same addicting quality of other games in the genre. The addition of mechanics like the Yokai Shift manage to set Nioh 2 apart from the pack and add a layer of combat not seen in similar titles. Veterans and newcomers to the soulslike genre alike will get be able to squeeze dozens of hours out of Nioh 2.

Those same elements that made the first one so enjoyable, combine with a better story, better customization systems, better level design and more, make Nioh 2 a confident sequel that stands above the previous game and firmly establishes itself as its own kind of game. No longer should Nioh be compared to other games; those other games should be compared to Nioh 2.

Nioh 2 is one of the most improved sequels to a game that I've ever had the pleasure of playing. With top-notch gameplay and highly rewarding open-ended character progression systems, I simply can't wait to see how Nioh 3 is going to turn out.

An unforgiving action RPG that carefully expands upon the foundations laid by the first installment. The combat system is absolutely fantastic, but the RPG layers are perhaps too intricate for their own good.

While it may be incredibly similar to what came before it, Nioh 2 smartly adds yet more depth and mechanics to its engagements to make for one of the best combat systems around. Notwithstanding its poor skill trees, forgettable narrative, and minor balance issues, Team Ninja has put together gameplay excellence. An essential playthrough for anyone who considers themselves a fan of the original or From Software's output.

The game is limited by the static nature of its mission-based structure and the protagonist’s severe lack of motivation.

Imagine a game inspired by Japanese mythology, blending action and challenge in a Souls-like style. Basically, it's like Nioh 1… but this time, it's Nioh 2.

Mejoro gráficamente, misma jugabilidad que nioh 1, y mucho dificultad injusta para alargar el juego
