It’s damn near perfect, and offers an immensely satisfying experience with plenty of replayability — it’s so good, in fact, that after completing it for the first time, I sat down and immediately completed it again on Hard Mode.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a competent return to the franchise's 2D roots, with polished pixel art visuals, a retro soundtrack, and challenging gameplay that should appeal to fans of the NES classics. Despite presenting some good ideas, the game lacks enough variety and personality to stand out as a major modern milestone in the series. It works well as a tribute to the franchise's past and should have great appeal among nostalgic players and speedrunners.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a definite pickup if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan and appreciate the old NES games. It might even appeal to newer fans as well. The game has a great difficulty balance. It is not easy and not too hard. The game has checkpoints that you’ll constantly respawn at, so you never have to repeat much if you die. The game has multiple difficulties (beat the game once to get “Hard”), and just like the old NES titles, it is a great speedrun game. The combat is very satisfying and the game is overall a really good evolution of the NES games. Be sure to try out this game if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan!

Stylish, fast paced and pretty hard. The bosses are definitly a highlight with that classic arcade difficulty. The story is a bit flat but i guess thats part of the series.

Just an average game. I HATE the time limit that is imposed using the second character. It`s just frustrating to repeat over and over again.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a triumphant return to form for the series, delivering tight 2D action-platforming, masterful level design, and thrilling boss battles, all underscored by stylish pixel art and an energetic soundtrack. Though brief in runtime, its challenge, polish, and replayability make it an experience that every action platforming fan should play.

Играл на пк, все хорошо. RTX 5090 + i7-14700KF = 240 FPS.

Paying homage to the classics while simultaneously serving as a breath of fresh air, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound masterfully builds on the side-scrolling format of the older titles while adding its own twists.

Ragebound is a love letter to 2D action platformers, blending arcade heritage with modern solutions and jaw-dropping production design. Short but dense, the game manages to amaze with inspired design, fiery direction, and two protagonists who are perfectly integrated into the gameplay. The challenge isn't brutal at first, but those willing to push themselves further will find plenty to keep them occupied. A satisfying return to a legendary saga, and a damned promising taster while we wait for the "real" Ninja Gaiden.

An exciting action platformer take on Ninja Gaiden that reminded me of the classic titles for the NES. Good difficulty and excellent accessibility options make it easy to reccommend.

A fun revival that opts for solid fundamentals over innovation.

I was excited to see what The Game Kitchen could do with Ninja Gaiden. Unfortunately, the answer is a bit disappointing. Ragebound is rock solid and feels really good in your hands, but it lacks spark, passion, X-factor, surprises. I could go on. At a time when sharp 2D action games are not exactly in short supply, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a solid revival of a classic series that will probably make the old core happy, but I would start somewhere else, Katana Zero, for example.

Ragebound is a sequel to the old-school Ninja Gaiden game for the NES with minor adjustments in terms of balance. The NES games were brutally difficult. Sometimes for good reasons and sometimes not. In this modern iteration, the balance tweaks are great. Some salty old-school gamers might say the game is easy and you can speedrun the game, but in all honesty, the average and above-average gamers will get fairly challenged in most cases. Nonetheless, the game offers additional difficulty modifiers if you crave a little more challenge, which is what I did against the non-boss enemies. Anyway, let's sum up the good, the bad, and the wasted potential. Pros: - Great OST - Great characters (Kenji & Kumori have nice chemistry) - Simple story and straight to the action - Moveset is quite varied - Demon enemies are fun - Bonus levels Cons: - Human enemies **** & are annoying - The **** touch get hit thing is dumb AF !! Wasted Potential: - Why is there no **** 2 player COOP! - With the BS Touch-hit thing, the game could have been great I know that some enemies don't have an official attack animation, but a f*cking enemy is standing still, and I just so happen to touch his body, that doesn't f*cking mean I should get hit. It's literally the only reason why I refuse to play this on hard. I am sorry, but when a human woman soldier is standing or crouching, and Kenji accidentally touches a PP, that doesn't **** mean he should "get hit", OKAY! I am just glad I can finally move on to NG4 and not this. If they continue this 2D action game, please remove this mechanic on enemies that can actually have an attack animation.

It’s not a bad game, just a very basic one, but thankfully it’s short, but I think it could have been more than it is

If you remember the rage inducing Ninja Gaiden with the stupid bird, this is what it feels like when you get to the 2nd level. Do not play this game unless you want to be pissed off a lot, even a little misjudgement in platforming means death. It gets worse when you get to level 3-3, a whole bunch of **** and a tentacle chase where you blindly jump to hope to bounce off the tentacle, not sure if the game tester did the hitbox testing right cause it seems a bunch of ****.
