MXGP 26 gets the series back on track: deformable terrain, believable physics and bike setups that genuinely matter are the right foundations to build on. The problem is everything around them. With no career mode, inconsistent AI and no real way in for newcomers, the game remains an entry aimed mainly at those who already love motocross. In racing terms: a good start out of the gate, but there’s still work to do before it reaches the podium.

It looks fantastic, and thanks to its new physics it plays well, too. When it comes to modes, though, MXGP 26: The Official Game is lacking. And it doesn't cater to newcomers very well, either.
