Monument Valley 2 is an experience that conveys the same sense of wonder and amazement of the first chapter.

Despite the sheer, breathless volume of new ideas, there's a sense of wonder missing from the sequel. The well-meaning tale feels a little rote in comparison to the first game's supernatural arc of redemption. [Sept 2017, p.118]

Consistently enchanting. [Aug 2017, p.82]

English : I'm harsh with this one in comparison with the first one. The levels are less surprising and it is even easier than n°1 - which was the big flaw. They tried to go a little bit further with the story and even though it's cute, it's not why I go to this kind of games. Nothing is new and we could have expected more from a second game.

Fun puzzle game. I like this game as it continue the first game and add to clearer figures inside the game that extend the gameplay of the first game, also the art is a bit more complex and it looks much nicer as it should **** puzzle game. This is a deliciously tactile, malleable game. One of its levels is full of more ideas than most games on the App Store can cram into their entire run time. Plus it's beautiful. So very, very beautiful. I can't stress enough how good Monument Valley 2 is. It builds on what came before - in a very real way, it's a sequel about sequels. And its story about legacy cements ustwo's own position as one of the greatest developers working on mobile.

One of the best games you can purchase right now on any mobile device. A bit pricey, but really awesome and enjoyable.

If we gave subgrades for things like presentation and storytelling, Monument Valley 2 would get a perfect score and then some. It’s that good in those areas. It just falls a tad short of perfect in terms of an overall score because it is so short. Maybe the best way to sum it up is like this: as a work of art, it’s nearly unparalleled — but as a game, it’s just a bit less.

After playing Monument Valley 2, I have an idea of why the first game got propped up to be mobile gaming's standard-bearer. At the time of its release, it was a novel experience wrapped in a breathtakingly gorgeous package. It was easy to look at, easy to play, and therefore easy to recommend to anyone. Much like an actual monument, Monument Valley was (and still is) an important landmark in mobile gaming. Monument Valley 2 seems to iterate on the things that made Monument Valley so beloved, but in doing so it feels like a duplication of effort–like a monument to a monument. It's still pretty and easy to recommend, but feels far less special.

Monument Valley 2 successfully replicates the original's charm and vibrancy. Its sense of how a touch game can transport minds to unfamiliar terrains is uncanny. Certainly, it's one of the most accomplished low-intensity mobile puzzle games ever made. Frustratingly, it falls away just at the point when it might have scaled greater heights.

Like its predecessor and its DLC, Monument Valley 2 is a short game (say, two hours?). Personally, I do not consider this a disadvantage; on the contrary, I like games that do not pull their punches. I do not need time fillers, thank you very much; I plan on only living once but making the most of that opportunity. Monument Valley 2 certainly deserves a spot in my short but rich life.

Monument Valley 2 is a piece of art. Back in 2014 I got to play the first Monument Valley game. I loved the first game. It had some of the most stunning visuals I had seen on the mobile platform. Its game play was also fantastic with its fascinating puzzles. Monument Valley 2 contains all of these awesome elements that the first one had but builds upon them. I loved the game play element with how you control the main character but how your companion follows you. Definitely worth a buy.

Very short, so I wouldn't pay for it. But gameplay and art style is great, like the first one
