The game is just far too slow paced to provide any exciting moments, and the controls are much too sluggish to be fun.

Even when they have no competition, Ubisoft completely misses the mark on the monster truck racing genre with this run-of-the-mill and dull game.

Unremarkable but not awful. About as average as it gets.

The racing is bland, the destruction is minimal, the excitement is nonexistent, the presentation is mediocre, and the content is lacking.

This was a game that I really expected more from, but in the end it was nothing more than a monster disappointment.

It's sad, because a game that is made exclusively for the Xbox (the system commonly thought to be at the top of the current-gens) shouldn't be outdone by a title released for Gamecube and PS2 over 2 years ago.

If there was a better sense of speed, more destructive elements and a deeper control system along with a multitude of other improvements, it might turn into something fun. Sure there's multiplayer, but it's just as boring and confusing as the solo play.

So Ubi, I'd like to let you know that you've done a great job alienating a once ravenous fan.

At no point in your life should you ever play Monster 4X4 World Circuit. Even if there's money on the table, you'll come up a loser.
