The vehicles work well, they're fun to drive, and they end up overshadowing the game's weapon-balancing issues.

A lifeless single-player game and a decidedly bumpy online experience. [Oct 2002, p.96]

The whole system works pretty well and thanks to the vehicles, the awesome physics engine, and the variety of modes and missions, Mobile Forces can keep you hooked for some time.

IMO great game for its time. Nice maps and vehicles, bots are ok, overall I had lots of fun. Of course graphics and AI is dated in comparison to modern FPS, still game is good enough to play for me out of nostalgia.

Mobile forces is vanilla near-future sci-fi, and this non-descript, and non-story sensibility hurts the game a bit. [Nov 2002, p.83]

There are plenty of great, free mods out there. Paying money for a sub-par mod like Mobile Forces isn't fair.

I was utterly disappointed. The game looks great on paper, but was created with mediocrity in mind.
