Metal Slug Defense
An interesting Tower Defense twist for one of the best 2D arcade shooters out there. Challenging and fun to play.
Metal Slug Defense is a Must Have casual strategy game and a thoughtful mobile adaptation of the classic arcade series.
A decent hybrid of action and strategy, dressed in pixel-clothing and tons of charming details for the hardcore fans to enjoy.

Actually a fun game, but it suffers the problem every mobile game faced, in app purchase. The game itself is actually quite nice, with beautiful 2D sprites (recycled from older Metal Slug games, but still) player's progress is halted by unseen paywall in the form of difficult levels that requires the user to pay real money to buy more powerful units to beat the game. To be fair, the game actually gave away the game's "cash"quite regulary, but it's still not enough.

A bizarre marriage of tower defense, real-time strategy and 2D shoot ‘em up action, Metal Slug Defense is like Kingdom Hearts— a blend of disparate things that somehow manages to work.

Metal Slug Defense is a nice take on the tower defense genre, thanks to a simple but compelling gameplay, lots of missions and excellent 2D graphics.

A surprisingly faithful recreation of the tone of the Metal Slug franchise, transposed to a tower defence game. Shame about the unstable and unfair multiplayer.

It has intelligent and interesting gameplay, but the free to play model spoils the fun, trying to milk the player's wallet over and over.

We are pretty sure nobody asked for a free-to-play Metal Slug tower defence game. Now we have one, and it's a pretty, but dull pay-to-win experience.

It looks like Metal Slug but it certainly doesn’t play like it, which would be fine if only the strategy gameplay had any real depth – or the microtransactions were less obnoxious.
