Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

I don't often get a good belly laugh from a video game, but then not many games pack the humorous charm of Mario and Luigi 2... [Nov p.99]

Nintendo Power
A worthy follow-up to "Superstar Saga," and the first great RPG on the DS. [Jan 2006, p.110]

It may not be the most emotionally complex RPG on the market, but it's solid entertainment with a quirky twist. [Dec 2005, p.187]

This is a nice game, pretty fun and pretty entertaining, but for a kid, it is a little bit difficult. When I was a kid, I didn't enjoyed as much as now this game because I found it difficult

Okay,i have quite a story with this game and have some nostalgia by it,But I'm not going to give it extra points by that.... Now then,What i think about the game? Actually one of the Best Mario Rpg Ever made! The History is Actually kinda creepy,With the Shroobs being my personal Favorite in all the Mario Villains Catalogue,The Gameplay is basically Cleaned Up and Updated SS,Adding the Babies which are Pretty Good Companion and Playable Characters (And not oveshadow the Adult bros) Adding the iconic tandem attacks and of course,The Ost,OH THE OST,Is such a pleasure,Sure it isn't the best or the Most iconic but i Simply Love Yoko's Work here,The only real issues i have with the Game is that It is a bit linear and the concept of Time Traveling isn't explored that much,Kind of missed potential tbh. For Making it short,I Think Mario & Luigi Pit Is a Great Game which Simply show how Creative this Rpg Spinoff Saga Can be,Recomended to any Mario RPGS Fan (Also can believe there's mf with Not like ts Game).

Not a guarantee that it's a game for everyone, but rather a big fat A+ for Alphadream when it comes to Advanced Game Design. This game is the cream of the portable gaming crop, and you'll be really hard-ressed not to be taken in by at least one of it's plentiful charms.

Despite being a very solid RPG, it never takes itself too seriously. There's just something very cheeky, almost silly about it all (and the game really focuses on this) as it throws one ridiculous situation at you after the next.

So, the two-screen feature is really innovative, thanks to the features of Nintendo DS, but there´s a discomfort about the buttons: You need to use all the A,B,X and Y buttons Here are the controls: X - Baby Mario Baby Luigi - Y A - Mario B - Luigi

Es sin duda alguna el mejor RPG de Mario y Luigi de por lejos, la historia es interesante, el gamplay es muy entretenido y gratificante a la hora de ejecutar los ataques tandem, muy recomendado

There's enough action so that it doesn't really feel like an RPG, and the humor makes it all the sweeter.

But don't let the linearity fool you--Partners in Time is an excellent game no matter what platform it's running on.

It also ends up being around twenty hours, so there is plenty of fun to be had in it.

My complaints about the storytelling and button-pressing aside, it's impossible to deny that Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is engaging from a tactile perspective—taking out evil toadstools by kicking a red shell back and forth between the mustache brothers just never gets old.

The threadbare story can barely support the game’s 20 hours of gameplay and the brothers don’t have enough moves to keep the puzzle-solving fresh.

One of the most underrated Mario RPGs. It's way better than Superstar Saga, I don't care what everyone says.

Linearity is a prevalent issue, from repetitive field moves to disjointed maps accessible only via the hub world.

It truly, truly pains me to write this review. I just cannot find it in myself to like this game. To begin, the game just drags on and on in each area and the game is very formulaic. Worst of all, I could not enjoy the combat system: maintaining control over four characters to pull off special attacks is a very frustrating chore. The special attacks have also replaced the Bros. Attacks from Superstar Saga, and each one is a repetitive, pointlessly tedious mini-game that eats up time and makes the battles drag as well as the areas. The game has nothing but padding and I just wanted it to end. Presentation-wise, the game is passable, but nothing impressive. The game's graphics barely pass a GBA title. As for the music, if you were to ask me what soundtrack belonged to what area, I would not be able to tell you. Thankfully, the game's story does have some funny moments: hearing Mario say "babies" cracks me up. Overall, though, the story or characters doesn't redeem this game (you know from the beginning everything will turn out well: where are the Shroob aliens present-day?!). As I said already, I hate that I do not like this game, seeing as how Superstar Saga is among my favorite games of all time. There's hardly anything to take away from this game. A poor sequel.

sorry to people who liked it, but this game was a pain to endure, it felt like a filler episode of a show, and there's soooo much padding. the plot is weak, the development of it is weak, and a lot of elements seem to have been thrown into it just to make it more complicated and pad it more. the ending comes rather abruptly, and a lot of plot threads lead nowhere, they are there just to keep you distracted longer. the battle system, while and evolution of the system from the first game, became confusing, you'll find yourself many times mistaking baby mario or luigi for their grown up counterparts in the battle sequences where you have a milisecond to guess which bro is falling. the enemies have no personality or motivation either. all in all, this is just a cheap sequel to get the franchise going, if you can, skip directly to bowser's inside story, there's no plot on this, you are not missing anything at all I'd bet this was co-developed by ghost developer TOSE

SummaryIn this sequel to Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the brothers travel back in time to retrieve Princess Peach, only to come face to face with baby versions of themselves, the princess and Bowser. Teaming up with their young selves will soon send Mario and Luigi on a quest of lunatic proportions as players must control both the adult AND b... Read More
