Mail Mole is platforming action in its purest form. Considerably cute, moderately challenging, with gameplay aspects that will keep both newbies and hardcore gamers happy.

The level designs are solid and moving your little mole around in them is pleasant. You’ve got a very typical hub structure, a lot of familiar types of levels, and various secrets tucked away for you to find. While the character designs and music let down the overall presentation a little bit, the graphics are bright and colorful, and everything runs quite smoothly. This probably isn’t going to rock anyone’s world, but if you enjoy the genre I think you’ll have a lot of fun going through this one.

Mail Mole is a very interesting concept that is largely executed well. It forces the player to adjust their brain to a new kind of 3D platforming in a way few games do. Its only real failing is that these ideas could benefit from being pushed further. Repeated concepts with only minimal iteration can make the mid game a bit slow. That being said it still represents a surprisingly original 3D platformer whose concepts I’d love to see taken even further.

Mail Mole is a 3D platform game that plays a lot like Super Mario 3D World... perhaps too much. Still, it has a good collection of rich levels, and a simple but likeable style. If you want to beat every mark, it is a considerable challenge.

So it’s safe to say there are some very rough edges present – some of the character models are quite frankly terrifying, and there’s a glut of typos – but Mail Mole still ends up being quite the charmer. It’s breezy no nonsense comfort food platforming. It’s certainly an impressive first title from Talpa Games, and we’re looking forward to what it makes next.

Talpa Games delivers here a solid platformer all in lightness, with a simple and controlled gameplay, pleasant levels to go and a nice progression curve. We will do so with pleasure the five to six hours of the adventure. But we often regret a level design that is too wise, the iterations of which are not sufficiently daring to make this ride a memorable adventure. Still, a happy walk in the sun always feels good. And that's what the title offers us.

Short but fun platformer that doesn't do anything particularly new, but still offers a good take on its genre. One of those games that will bring joy to your library of games but you won't remember for long after finishing it.

A fun game with a good 3D platforming level design. You will not find anything new, but all the challenges it proposes are very entertaining. Although somewhat limited technically and with an original but not 100% satisfactory control, it is a good game that is worth playing.

A nice platformer that doesn’t do (or want to do) anything new. If you like the genre and if you’re looking for something accessible, this can be a good option.

As I said up top, it’s intriguing, if nothing else. Probably not intriguing enough to sustain a whole game, but there are still some interesting ideas to be found in Mail Mole that make it worth your time if you feel like taking a bit of a risk.
