There could be more content. For fans of action party games there is nothing to complain about. Considering how universally lovable Kirby is, this game is perfect fun in multiplayer, especially online. [Issue#326]

The relatively short nature of the races within Kirby's Dream Buffet, the way everyone, even those who come last, gain points in a race, and the ease to join in multiplayer online or team up with friends makes this latest Kirby game a real treat to play on Nintendo Switch. The variety of race themes, costumes, and Kirby colours provide good reasons to replay it, and the solo adventure is as fun as teaming up with friends or random players. There is almost no downside, only disappointment when losing but on the easiest mode it is possible to win with very little experience.

A cute little party game which, unfortunately, just doesn’t reach the same heights as many of its competitors. There’s not much content, the fun doesn’t last for long, and the number of players is severely restricted. This is certainly not a pastime for the whole evening but could entertain you in short stretches.

This was on sale so I got it and played it with a friend. It's cute and charming and for sure will get better to play with more friends.

Kirby's Dream Buffet is a game that surprised us both when it was announced and when we tried and played it. Not only does it have a delicious visual section, but its mechanics and game modes make it an interesting proposal.

Kirby’s Dream Buffet is an endearing little game that should be treated as a quick snack before the main course. It offers entertainment for a couple of evenings, but it’s not one of those titles you’ll keep on your Switch for months. It would score higher if its local multiplayer mode supported more than two players on one console.

While nothing groundbreaking, Kirby’s Dream Buffet is like a macaron – bite-sized, sweet and colourful, but best enjoyed in small servings. It provides a family-friendly palette cleanser that is easy to learn and charmingly tender in its presentation. It might lack the depth and variation of other party games of similar ilk such as Fall Guys,but it’s hard to fault its simplicity.

Kirby's Dream Buffet is to be considered as an ideal little game for very short fun sessions with family or friends in a universe that frankly holds up. However, the experience is still very limited in terms of content, updates are now expected to expand the activities. Finally, it is a pity that the game on the same console is limited to a maximum of two players.

All up, Kirby’s Dream Buffet feels more like an extra mode you would find in a mainline Kirby game than something that can stand on its own. It’s amusing enough in short bursts with other players, but you’ll likely have seen all that’s worth seeing in a single session. Even as a party game, the lack of support for more than two players on one system makes it a little tough to recommend. The core idea isn’t bad and it’s certainly a polished experience, but it ends up being just a light snack rather than a filling meal.

On the whole, Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a neat idea on the surface. When brought to life, it could’ve genuinely been a contender for one of the Switch’s top party games had it featured a little more variation, and some better multiplayer support. That said, the future of Kirby is now very much cemented in 3D, and I still look forward to where the pink puff ball ends up once they’ve decided that they can’t stomach another strawberry.

Kirby’s Dream Buffet est un bon petit jeu qui peut offrir d’excellente petite session par-ci par-là. Le jeu est en plus très facilement accessible à un large public et fun à joué. Le jeu offre pas mal d’environnement et de décor bien travaillé. Il offre également pas mal de récompenses et d’éléments de collection in-game. interesting concept and that's where the positives end. the gimmick is just mediocre and there's not much content to being with. the worst thing is that this is a game meant to be multiplayer oriented yet local multiplayer doesn't allow more than 2 players. that's silly.

Cute idea, but very limited content and modes, no 4-player-splitscreen, the controls feel imprecise and, most importantly of all, the lag when playing online is absolutely HORRENDOUS! Nintendo, when are you finally going to get your s**t together when it comes to online gaming?? This isn't 2006 (although the 360 already offered better online back then), we're in 2022 now. Get a move on.
