Inazuma Eleven 2: Blizzard

Inazuma Eleven 2: FireStorm / Blizzard is a wonderful follow-up to what was already a fantastic concept, expertly blending an intriguing RPG adventure with some highly skilful touch-screen football fun.

Even though it doesn't push a lot further its concept than the original, Inazuma Eleven 2 still is a very nice RPG with a cool soccer-based fantasy universe and a lot to do and play.

That a role playing game with soccer action can be given this much depth, charm and variation isn't new for fans of the series. Part 2 doesn't offer anything new, but remains interesting for hours on end thanks to hundreds of new moves to learn and a fun story.

Inazuma Eleven 2 is the same good game with the typical high value production Level5 give to their projects. Both versions set the story in a prominent position, offering the same original mechanics of the first episode but with much more content to play with.

Those looking for more of the same will get just that, but if you weren't won over by the original, an alien footy team from outer space will be an even harder story to stomach.

Inazuma Eleven 2 offers a new story and a couple of gameplay tweaks but is ultimately more of the same.

I love this game, it is the one that I played the most and that I captivated the most with its story, characters and the improvement in the graind of the game

Very very good game, story is awesome and the experience is god. Enjoyable mechanics, very good new skills and a pretty good online game for playing against friends.

27/100 Inazuma Eleven 2 tweaks the gameplay structure of the previous entry for the better with a couple of new mechanics to deepen the strategic action and more intuitive, quicker methods for player scouting. Nevertheless, these new additions are not meaningful enough to succesfully free the campaign from the same old issues: level design, when relevant, is scarce and tedious, and while matches are very fun for the first few hours, their extreme simplicity makes for an overall tremendously repetitive experience, worsened by an excessive presence of RNG within the mechanics. The story, like the previous installment, is severely formulaic and corny with cheap, childish drama, but the sheer amount of characters and plot lines can be greatly entertaining and the whole experience remains distinctly charming thanks to its cheesy, fantastically exaggerated portrayal of football and earnest spirit of camaraderie.
