Beautifully charming and ultra relaxing, I and Me is everything you could want from a puzzle game without any of the stress. I love handheld games that I can just pick up and play in short bursts and whilst I and Me is exactly this, I always end up finding it difficult to put down as well. Brilliantly addictive - but only whilst it lasts. Launching at £8.99, there might not be enough meat on the bone for some, but I personally felt that the value on offer is worth the admission.

With a clever gameplay hook, enjoyably uncluttered level design, and a beautiful storybook presentation, I and Me is a delightful package. It’s an admittedly brief experience, and players looking for a stern challenge won’t find their puzzle-solving skills seriously tested here, but if you’re after a perfectly pleasant way to pass a few evenings on the Switch, I and Me are both a great choice.

This title holds many interesting puzzles, although some of them are very basic and it isn't very replayable. Still, you'll enjoy it if you like this type of game.

I and me is a nice puzzle game for the whole family. Simple, nice to see and with good music. Unfortunately it is very easy and can get boring.

I and Me looks like a beautifully hand-drawn game that controls quite well. Its fluid movement makes navigating the stages easy, with no mechanical drawbacks. However, the promise of a deep and meaningful story is hurt by the hard-to-read cursive font used to present all the narration, thus losing all the appeal of what is supposed to feel like a haunting tale. Beyond that, though, the stages are pretty easy to figure out and complete, though playing around with the four main mechanics introduced with each new season is fun in itself, and allowing for experimentation strengthens them. The hints that the game offers up actually overstep their mark, and instead they solve the puzzle entirely; however, they hardly need to be used, as I and Me rarely lifts the difficulty metre at all.

Overall, I and Me has some good ideas but the gameplay dries up too quickly to warrant hours of play.

I and Me has a solid premise for a puzzle platformer but the limited amount of fun to be had makes it a somewhat disappointing game. That said, if you want a simple yet challenging puzzler then you can't go wrong by giving it a download.

Its qualities could stand out in a better way if the game was less repetitive and more challenging, as the difficulty level will quickly prove to be under the threshold of what many players expect.

In a world plagued by stripped-back indie experiences grasping to evoke an element of nostalgia, I can at least praise I and Me for attempting something wholly original for the puzzle/platforming genre. But what could have been a mighty stride forward disappointingly feels more like a half step.

I and Me stands out due to the fact that the Switch library doesn’t have too many puzzlers right now. However, a pointless story, frustrating mechanics, and disappointing length mar a game with lofty ambitious.
