Very good game that any serious gamer would play and not ignore for years and years, tormenting everyone around him

Despite a relatively small library, there are games on Nintendo 64 I hadn't even heard of until I started adding a few more to my collection recently. One such game is Hybrid Heaven, a weird but interesting RPG from Konami. The story is a mystery until partway in, when it's finally revealed what the heck is happening. You advance through an underground facility with some action sections, but core combat is a mix of positioning and movement that pauses when an enemy takes a turn (or you do), giving a variety of turn-based options to attack, defend, counter, move, or use items. Each body part is leveled up separately by using it for kickboxing and pro-wrestling style moves, which is fun and addictive, although it does get a little repetitive eventually. I enjoyed this game.

Hybrid heaven It's a game Quite misunderstood, although All the elements are there to make a great game, but sometimes, sabotages his own pace. The combat system Is Awesome, the music, the art and the story shine on their own, but where it falls flat is in the Part of the experience General , the repetitive and the linear Gameplay, it's a shame that a game with so many good elements, isnt be so well known. I really hope that someday konami want to make a remake or a sequel.

A turn based game where all your moves are kicks, punches and throws is a fascinating idea but unfortunately there's not much depth to the system here and from about 40% through to the end I beat everything using just a couple kicks and the piledriver. Still some unique ideas and a goofy 90s sci fi plot to hold it together and I had a decent enough time playing it.
