There's a great puzzle game here, but Fright Heights loses itself too often in difficulty spikes and cruelty.

Though you might feel pushed towards purchases near the end, Fright Heights is a seriously testing puzzler with a clever and compulsive hook.

Overall, Fright Heights has some creaky floors and broken windows, but it offers a chilling good time, nonetheless. Grab it and play it in between handing out fistfuls of candy to the rugrats this Halloween season.

Initially impenetrable, Fright Heights rewards the persistent player with the kind of mental workout few other puzzle games can offer. It's original and tense stuff that's free to play as well. Highly recommended for your game time this weekend.

Fright Heights feels like a money grab from the get go, thanks to its game of chance mechanic and the frequent reminders of upgrade options. I would have shelled out a few coins if this app really gave chills up and down my spine. But currently I feel nothing but indifference, and that’s really nothing to be scared about.
